Tom DeLay Contestant On "Dancing With The Stars" Season Nine

AP -- Former Republican Majority Leader Tom DeLay will join 15 celebrities from the worlds of entertainment and sports in kicking up their heels on the new season of "Dancing With the Stars."

The show's largest cast ever, announced Monday, features singers Mya, Macy Gray and Aaron Carter; actors Ashley Hamilton, Melissa Joan Hart and Debi Mazar (MAY'-zahr); and models Joanna Krupa and Kathy Ireland.

Contestants also include reality stars Mark Dacascos and Kelly Osbourne; entertainer Donny Osmond; mixed martial artist Chuck Liddell (lih-DEL'); professional snowboarder Louie Vito; Olympic swimmer Natalie Coughlin (KAWG'-lin); former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Michael Irvin and the former congressman from Texas.

The ninth season of the hit ABC show premieres Sept. 21.

I THOUGHT the show was "Dancin with the Stars." Turns out, its 'Dancin with Indictees." I guess he could dance to "Jailhouse Rock." Hammer's as old as Elvis would be... Or since he was allegedly
money laundering contributions through the RNC to local RepublicKlan candidates, maybe he could dance to the Beatles, "Give me MONEY." You remember that one,..

That should get old twinkle toes movin...

And we can rename the Judges panel "THE GRAND JURY."

After watching Karl Rove try and trip the light fantastic a couple of years back, I think "HAMMER DANCIN" might be as big a disaster as Hammer ideology. I feel bad for his dance instructor...and her feet.

Tom Delay on Dancing With The Stars? Nice... Here's a guy that took a million dollars in illegal contributions from Russian oil execs (which were represented by Jack Abramoff), committed perjury, gerrymandered Texas voting districts to disenfranchise black and Latino voters and ABC considers this guy to be a "Star?" This POS is the poster-boy for shady, backroom politics. Maybe next season ABC can get Randy "Duke" Cunningham and Jack Abramoff out on a work furlough program. They could call it "Dancing Behind Bars."
