That's what happened to Anna Ramirez after she found all of her stuff out on the front lawn of her Homestead home last week and a strange man demanding she get out of his newly purchased house.

Unbelievable. Apparently foreclosures are at such a high rate that the counties in certain states are rubber stamping the paperwork.
I'm glad to see she got her house back, and I wish her the best of luck on recouping damages.
I feel that Washington Mutual should give her one of their foreclosed mansions as payment for their idiocy.

WaMu was a joke of a bank and now they are carrying on with the same fraudulent and dishonest practices as JPMorgan Chase. They screwed up the terms of both of my home loans and refuse to correct these problems even when presented with internal WaMu documents that prove their mistakes.
There is no fighting these big banks either. My attorney advised me that WaMu and now JPMorgan Chase would aggressively fight me and drag this out in court even if they know they are going to lose the case. Their only purpose is to discourage people from litigation by making it as costly and time consuming as possible. After a year of battling with WaMu and now Chase I am tempted to just send them my keys out of spite and they can eat $150k plus in losses when this place goes to auction. These big banks are criminal enterprises not unlike the mob.
Take your money out of WaMu/Chase, Wells Fargo - all banks - and put it in credit unions,
Apologies in my last. I made a typo that misidentified the Bank in question. The bank is, correctly this time, A Chase owned company called Washington Mutual [WaMu]. Lesson learned - do not hit the send button so quickly.
Sue WAMU for millions in damages, defamation of character, PTSD and whatever else you can think up; WAMU deserves to be sued. Besides, it's not as if WAMU will pay for it; it will just find a way to pass the cost on to its customers anyway.
Wells Fargo is not any better. They don't train their people and your lucky if someone can answer a question. We are all doomed. The banks are incompetent have our money and take homes away. What a mess.
"Bashed and battered" would be the least of what I would do to those involved.

If Wash Mutual was smart they would simply ask how much and cut the check immediately.
But maybe a good lawyer could get even more money out of the fools.
