Jackie O, was gorgeous, sophisticated, impeccably dressed and abs beautiful. please Huffingpost do not compare her to MO. they are a world apart. you are not being fair to Jackie O. please compare her to French First Lady. it is acceptable.both are so beautiful

LOL, AT PWT in action! Michelle O is beautiful and unique and in a wonderful class all by herself; because I see their is a problem with reading comprehension I'll explain in elementary term. The comparison was related to the Families not the individual FLies.
Isn't it great that America is so blessed to have Jackie O during her time period, many other great FL; and now another beautiful FL with her own wonderful accomplishment and charismatic beauty; talents, and giftings.

I agree, there is no comparison. Michelle Obama is a ....special first lady in the clothing choices she makes and the way she behaves in public. But Jackie Kennedy always carried herself with grace and class and dressed elegantly, even when she went casual. Carla Bruni comes close but is also not Jackie K.

The Obama's are like the Kennedy's for the simple fact they are young couple with cute little kids!!!

Personally i admire both Michelle Obama and Jackie O. Bothe ladies have a great sense of style BUT one has to realize the 2 very different worlds that each lady comes from. From the day Jackie was born she was raised in old money and groomed to marry into high society- in other words marry well. Now Michelle was raised on the South Side of Chi Town- just hoping to make it through high school. She ended up doing great in school went on to college got a job and hooked with a cutie who became POTUS! Both the Obamas and Kennedy's have that "fairytale" appeal about them.
Contrary to what you're fed on tv, all of the South Side isn't death row. Neither was where Michelle grew up...
Michelle Obama wasn't just "hoping to make it through high school". She was a motivated student who was expected to graduate and go on to college, due to the way her parents raised her.
If all you have to do to resemble the Kennedy's is board a plane, sit on the beach, walk the dog, look up at your father, wear an evening dress, and swing a golf club, then half the population of the world resemble them.
Actually, I think the Kennedys would have admired the Obamas very much. People forget, or are too young to remember that Jacqueline did untiring work in restoring the White House to its original glory. By searching attics and storerooms she found priceless furniture and artwork which was restored and placed in beautiful public rooms.. She said that it was about "scholarship, not redecorating" that drove her to this worthy project.. Many rooms can now be toured that remind the public of the history of the "People's House." Jacqueline's courage and abundant dignity brought calm to a shattered nation after her husband's asassination.. I think Mrs. Kennedy left a lasting impression and legacy for our country. Hopefully, the Obamas will create their own legacy, and not be judged by someone else's.
Different era; different epectations; different problems; different people. Think about just the differences in the role of women since the Kennedy era alone and any attempt at comparisons is ridiculous.

I think it is fair to say that Joe Kennedy Sr. was a rascal, who used his influence to further his ambitions for his children..However, John Kennedy was a WWII hero, and lost both an older brother and a sister in wartime service. ..He had brains, charisma and was a wonderful orator, he would have gone far with or without his family Much like our current president. The problem with comparing living people with historic figures, is that so many have no clue as to the history of their country, and the sacrifices made by earlier generations and the great love they had for their country.
Well, I think it is fair to say that Obama's father couldn't afford a ticket to the United States, much less purchase one vote, wouldn't you? Come to think of it, I wonder how much they actually paid out of pocket for the Harvard education?

While I think you can compare anyone's family with another in regard to the actions in the pictures, I always welcome the photo's to look at. I especially love seeing pics of my favorite presidents. I love the Kennedy's. I was in grade school when Kennedy was in office and when he was shot, I went home and say my parents and grandmother were crying so hard and said to myself even as a young child that this man must be a great man. Over the years I have seen and read anything and everything I can on the Kennedy family and all of you Kennedy bashing people need to do the same and not just go by what you hear on the news. They are a large family and as with most large families there are a lot of mistakes made and personal tragedy. This is one famity that truly tries to look out for the less fortunate. They all spend most of their entire adult life trying to help. I personally don't get the whole Regan praise and I actually voted for him. Unfortunatly his trickle down economy never quite made it to me and in looking back, I am sorry I voted for him. I would never put him down personally because I haven't read enough about him. AGAIN I STATE I LOVE THE KENNEDY'S AND WILL ADD I LOVE THE OBABMA'S. Keep the pics coming

History has taught us much more than we ever wanted to know about the real Kennedys. There is nothing to emulate there, not a single thing.
They still want to write the rules differently for themselves. We've had two examples in the last year. First CBK who thought she should be appointed Senator from NY after having led a completely apolitical life. What could possibly have given her the idea that she was deserving of this appointment other than entitlement?
Next we have Sen. Kennedy asking the legislature in MA to change the rules so his vote can be counted posthumously.

One more instance where Obama is only faintly making his own mark, He would do well to wake up and avoid the comparisons . . and the company. He should have nixed Martha's Vineyard in favor of a spot on the Gulf Coast..

Kennedy wants the rules changed so that the people of MA won't have to go 5 months with just one senator. Man, that's really really selfish of him.

There will never again be anyone like the Kennedy's. The Obamas are great and I'm sure there will never be anyone else like them so senseless to compare.
