Maxine Waters

LA Times:

Waters reserved her most searing critiques for Senate Democrats who have not embraced the public option.

"Not only are we going to do everything we can to organize and put pressure on the senators -- some of whom are Neanderthals -- we're going to say to the president, 'We want you to use every weapon in your basket in order to get those senators to do what they should be doing,' " Waters said.

Maxine, keep speaking truth and stay fearless.

Do you want the same truths she used for Freddie and Fannie?

Maxine is a corrupt bottom feeder. If there was ever questions about evolution I would say she missed a few rungs.

Her constituants should be ashamed.

Get over yourselves Republicans it's very clear what she meant, if a Con and said it we would have been ammo again for horrible analogy humor on our part! Besides she was being conservative with her comment I would have said "Morons".

I LOVE MAXINE!!!!!!

I wonder if a republican congressman could get away with the term "neanderthal" without being called a racist.

Funny...I never see Neanderthals protrayed as African-Americans...they're all white.

Like the cavemen in the Geico ads.
12:17 PM on 08/24/2009
Very true. It is verboten to portray anyone who might be dumb, behind the times, slow, or making mistakes as anything but a white male.

Neanderthals were not a race, they were Neanderthals, white Americans are the only people that identify themselves as a color, Why?

funny....I never see Black people in the "birther"movement, they're all white people from the south, why is that?

You could go with "Java-Man", but then half of the people will reply "I didn't know they had coffee back in those days".

But of course there's nothing remotely racial about her comment. You're flailing.
01:12 PM on 08/24/2009
That's his point I think. There's nothing remotely racial about alot of comments, but they get interpreted that way. Turnabout's fair play.
10:48 AM on 08/24/2009
In other words..tell the neanderthals to kizz where the sun don't shine and do what you were elected to do. Everytime President Obama says the Repubs are working with him someone from that party denies it so what's the use? What part of "they aren't with you are you" are you not getting President Obama? Leave the party of no alone and let them wallow in their own selfishness and get this healthcare bill passed..
