I live in San Francisco, we don't have winter summer or fall, just constant 50- 65 degree weather. Don't have to worry about season specific gardens. Kind of worth the high cost of living.

a late season garden planting is a great way to extend the growing season. we did it last year and it was amazing how long into the fall the garden grew.
