Obviously Iraq needed a tough strong leader like Saddam Hussein to keep the warring factions apart, of course the Bush/Cheney regime ignored this small detail and decided to hang him instead. Rather than add stability to the region Bush and his private army of mercenaries created chaos.

I was never in favour of the Iraq war, but that doesn't mean Saddam wasn't a mass murderer who gassed his own people. You speak of him as if he was this great uniter, which he wasn't.

"Spencaa" Saddam held his country together with a lot less causalities than we have brought upon the Iraqi people, nothing like Shocking and Aweing everyone to death in order to save them.

I am not saying the man was a saint but I do not favor invading a sovereign nation and hanging their leader just because we disagree with their policies or use the fact that he was a despot as an excuse to invade his country and steal their Oil.

THAT was their goal! That way the military-industrial complex could make billions for a long period of time! THEIR mission WAS accomplished!

It's Bush's fault. He should have left well enough alone.
