Cramer

Jim Cramer defended Glenn Beck Monday, saying the controversial Fox News host is a "nice guy" and predicting that his boycotting advertisers "all come back in the end" (via TVNewser).

Beck's show has experienced an advertiser exodus over his comment on "Fox & Friends" that President Obama is "racist."

Cramer made his comments about Beck in a conversation with Erin Burnett about the advertising market for political talk shows.

Cramer added that Fox News parent News Corp won't be suffering as the advertisers have merely shifted their ad buys to other programs.

I once was invitied over to dinner by relatives. Afterwards we sat down in the family room and they put on CNCB to watch Mad Money. After sitting through 30 minutes of Cramer's histrionics, I never wanted to go home so bad in my life.

I would be worried if I was Glenn Beck if Cramer predicts that "they will come back".

guys like Cramer and Beck and Rush and Hannity and Oreily remind me of a toilet. They all float around at the surface for a while, but when it comes down to it, they all come together at the bottom. or as some say, birds of a feather flock together ,

Why should we believe anything coming out of this guy's mouth. He had been harping to buy stocks in several companies, knowing very well they were tanking. He is just a loud mouther just like the rest of them on FAUX NOISE channel. He is just simply OVERBEARING

That's why his endorsement of Beck is like giving him the "Kiss 'O Death!" Absolutely delicious. :-D

Flunky: "Mr. Beck, Jim Cramer just predicted all your advertisers would come back!"
Glenn Beck: "Aaaaaaaaiiiiiiiiiieeeeeeeeeee....... I'TS ALL OVER!!!!!!!!!1!!!"

It's all about money. If it costs the advertisers more than they get, they dump the support for the show. Negative advertising is the very worst, as the folks who acquire negative views about the advertiser tend to have longer memories that burn into the subconscious. These perceptions affect the corporate public image and are very hard to dispell and might influence future buying behavior. Most corporations try to avoid this scenario as they are essentially conservative but not in the political sense. I would not put money on the proposition that people who are opposed to the rants of Mr. Beck will forget quickly that which has transpired. At best they are sensitized to Mr. Beck's behavior and will be reminded quite readily of their already held views about his advertising supporters. If I were an advertiser, I would be cautious [read: conservative] about taking this chance in spite of Mr. Cramer's pollyanish dismissal of Mr. Beck's offensive comments. Hey, park your brain; Beck's a nice guy in spite of what he says.

MSNBC should dump both of these right wing creeps.

Problem is, Beck is with Faux. And you know that Rupert is the kinda toad who'd keep him just to spite liberals (I get pissed every time I remember we let Rupert become a citizen with no protest). Except there's one problem now, Beck's Show is not pulling it weight of the profit share. Even though most of these chicken-livered companies are really just moving their ad money somewhere else -- on Faux.

Still, spite can cost too much in the end. Beck's on shaky ground now. Problem for him is if he retreats, his audience will see that as puking-out to the libs. And if he stays on-course or gets worse (yes, that's still possible), then he becomes an obvious absurdity that even Faux can't tolerate -- and they KNOW that they have no credibility. But they'll have to let him go.

And Cramer? I haven't figured out how this guy has a job. He must have photos of somebody. Besides, CNBC can always use him for comic relief! :-D

Cramer looks like Vlad Lenin. Rupert is going to be in the hole with Faux; aside from high ratings, a station cannot sustain the large loss of advertisers. Who the hell can run a station with no advertising revenue.

As good at judging people as the market, eh Cramer? Beck is as nice as the housing market is recovered and as Lehman was a good buy.
06:42 PM on 08/26/2009
Cramer should be more concerned about convincing us that HE is a nice guy. The jury is still out on that

When Cramer yells on TV, to me he sounds like a little boy shaking a tin can filled with a few pebbles. I happened to watch him only once on CNBC for less than 30 seconds while flipping through the channels. The next time I saw him was on Jon Stewart's show where Jon ripped him.
