Palin Bails On Yet Another Event

Organizers of an Anchorage event that has been billing Sarah Palin for weeks as a star speaker were left scrambling Wednesday after learning that the former governor won't be there for tonight's event and claims to have never been asked.

It would be at least the fourth time in recent months that an anticipated Palin speech has fallen through after Palin and her camp disputed they had ever confirmed it. That includes the brouhaha over whether she'd speak at the annual congressional Republican fundraising dinner in Washington, D.C., this summer.

You ever notice how SP manages to get right back into the spotlight, even when some other big story is going on? She quit as gov of Alaska right when news of Michael Jackson's death hit--it got her some big-time attention then and back in the headlines. Now she is a no-show at a political event
AGAIN (supposedly a cause near and dear to her heart--interfering in teen pregnancies) AND no one has seen hide nor hair of her for weeks (Although she lurks on Facebook--under the guise of a ghostwriter. I see she gave up on Twitter after the excoriating ribbing she took from William Shatner on Conan O'Brien). IT IS SIMPLY AMAZING HOW SHE MANAGES TO STAY IN THE NEWS IN SPITE OF COVERAGE OF SEN. KENNEDY'S DEATH AND FUNERAL. Even when it's negative coverage, it's still coverage.

Yes, she's very pretty. She is a former beauty queen. She is also totally unqualified to be govenror, made a complete mess of the job and really set Alaskans back. She has a knack for making enemies out of everyone, including the people who worked very hard for her and believed in her.
She is also lazy and self-centered. She has been a disaster for our state.
As many people have pointed out, Sarah would not have any following at all if she looked like Golda Meir.
With Sarah, pretty is only skin-deep.

Correction: she is a former runner-up in Miss Alaska contest. She is the beauty contestant always in search of the crown, always needing the spotlight, but woefully uninterested in actually executing the job at hand. Very needy of attention. However I suspect her publisher has her feet to the fire right now if there is to be a "memoir" (AKA "bundle of lies between two covers") by next year. Pity that ghost-writer!

Does anyone know what Sarah Palin's job is? I mean, what she does for a living now that she resigned the governorship? Is she a spokesmodel? A consultant? I mean, what does she do all day? I figured going around giving anti-abortion speeches was going to be her bread and butter, but she's clearly not interested in that.

People tend to forget that Sarah Palin has a multi-million dollar book deal. She has been paid a retainer so she money isn't an issue for her. A ghost author is writing the book for her so her brain cells need not be knocked much.

If she isn't employed in the traditional sense then she must be self-employed and must file taxes on a quarterly basis. If she is to be considered for any elected or appointed government office, her income must be disclosed.

Okay... this Stapleton woman is confusing ME, so I can see why others would be confused. She says on the one hand, Palin was never asked, on the other, she was invited to the event. On the one hand, she knew she was going to be asked to be the first petition signer, on the other, she didn't think it was that important.

I feel bad for this group. And you don't know how hard it is for me to feel bad for this particular group...
