Magnificent Mozah: Qatar's Sheikha Shows Off Bold Colors, Belts And A Strong Silhouette (PHOTOS)

Qatar's Sheikha Mozah shines on the sartorial stage, mixing modesty with high fashion amidst a cast of other elegant first ladies. She made this year's Vanity Fair best-dressed list, wears a lot of Jean Paul Gaultier, and beat Carla Bruni in a floor-length gown HuffPost poll.

The Sheikha's garments combine a strong and shapely silhouette, bold colors, and buttons and buckles. She always tops things off with exquisite jewelry, but (usually) avoids looking over-the-top.

She is so stunning in the jewel tones that compliment her Sunrise color palette. The bold color choices and strong feminine silhouette really make her stand out. She has really come More Alive With Color I wonder if she has read visited our site morealivewithcolor.com.

Wonder what wives # 1 & 3 look/dress like.

She is very pretty.. I also like how she matches her head scarves with her clothing. Just stunning.

There was recently a picture of some Arab prince and French president Sarkozy and their wives. Both women looked elegant in their long gowns. The Muslim wife had her hair stylishly covered and she in her own way was as beautiful if not more so than Mrs Sarkozy. However both men looked like they needed a make over. I didn't know Sarkozy was such a runt!

It's the same woman. I think it's odd that Arab royalty and their wives socialize with Sarkozy after his comments about the head scarf not being welcome in France. Politics would require that the countries have relations, but to sit down and eat dinner with people who flat out say your religion is degrading to women and your clothes are not welcome in this country....that's just sad. Maybe they are using it as an opportunity to educate them, but I doubt it.

Let me remind you that head covering is not mandatory in the Koran but mostly a cultural habit. And for your information, the phopet's first wive Aïcha - older than he was & financially independent - did not cover her head ...
I am no Sarkozy fan, but I believe he objected specifically to the burqa (head to toes covering) as not compatible with the dignity of women ...
As a French agnostist (from a catholic family) married to a muslim (who is currently fasting for Ramadan), I am tired of hearing people misrepresent both Islam (including those like you who affect to defend it ...) and the French as being racist or anti-muslim. Of course we have our share of racist /anti-muslim people (basically the 10 to 15% who vote for the far right FN) but the muslim community, with over 4 million people is the 2nd largest religion in France (after the Catholics) is mostly well integrated (in all western countries France has the highest rate of mixed marriages... including mine).
My husband came in France (from Marocco) at 3 years-old, he went to the local public school in an rather underprivileged suburb near Paris and is now a successful lawyer (his 4 brothers and sisters all have similar profile / good jobs). He is a practicing muslim but married a loud-mouth suffragette (moi !) and takes no issue with Sarkozy's declaration about the burqa (although he voted for the other gal).
So maybe YOU need to be

Some women just have "it".
What style, grace and elegance. That is something that can not be faked.

She is naturally very beautiful. The magenta dress is beautiful, but I'm not very keen on the other ensembles. What seems strange to me is that some of these outfits don't seem that modest to me, but rather form-fitting and the make-up heavy. Maybe that's the style in her country/part of the world so if she's comfortable with it, good for her. I couldn't bear to have my hair covered like that day in and day out although it could come in handy on a bad hair day.

Yeah, but what does Mozah think of "Inglourious Basterds"?
08:38 PM on 08/30/2009
I would shave my head and go bald, rather than be forced to wear a head rag every day.

Go ahead, nobody cares.

She is wearing a Burka, it comes in many many colors, but she is still wearing a Burka.
02:16 PM on 08/31/2009
If that is your definition, so what.
08:34 PM on 08/31/2009
No she is not wearing a burqa. She is just wearing a head covering, all her outfits have nothing to do with her religion.
Do you know what a burqa looks like? obviously not.
03:27 AM on 09/01/2009
"all her outfits have nothing to do with her religion"...........why don't you tell her that. As a Muslim woman I wonder if she know that.

What is a "strong silhouette"?
07:15 PM on 08/30/2009
using structure in your clothes to emphasize your shape, i.e. hips, shoulders, waist; like architecture, versus loose fitting clothing.
