Kara posted her own studio version of "No Boundaries" yesterday on YouTube, where it got a warmer welcome than it was getting on the live "Idol" tour.

Gee, So Kara is pretending now that she didn't have anything to do with the song going up on Youtube. Riiiiiight, and of course she had NOTHING to do with the NYPOST writing a story about this either?
It's so typical. Her company puts the song up there, has a few employees go and write nice comments about it to try to save her reputation. Look, both Chris and Adam are good singers, the fact that neither one of them could make the song sound nice should tell people something. It was obvious Simon hated the song as well. That song was an abortion from note one.
This news piece is hilarious. DioGuardi's song is painfully hackneyed. Adam Lambert missed more notes performing it in the finale than he did previously in the entire competition, just because he was uncomfortable singing such a painfully cliched tune. It closely followed a very basic template that professional song writers of pop R&B hits use for recording, so I can't imagine that DioGuardi put much effort into writing it, either. If American Idol is going to continue the practice of using pre-written songs for the winners to perform, the show ought to consider having songs written in different genres that conform to the styles of the potential winners, e.g. Kris Allen could have had some kind of easy listening folk rock song written for him, for example. That way, writers like DioGuardi won't feel the need to defend their work publicly the way she has.
American Idol keeps the hackneyed in business.
All the wonderfully talented singer-songwriters out there, sitting around waiting for half the break American idol affords, and we get attention paid to a totally worthless song and a mediocre singer who can't perform it. I guess I'll switch off to reading about Dancing With the Stars ... then again, maybe I'll DeLay that, too.

I love Kris's acoustic version of it. He can make anything sound good. I'm not surprised he dropped it from his set, though. People really hate that song for some reason.

Kara wrote an awful song - that AI insisted on having Kris sing it at the finale. Kara is a horrific addition to AI - I already miss Paula. They need to have Kara coach the contestants and remain behind the camera. I would be fine with Randy - (who's dawg schtick is getting old) and Simon - and once in a while a guest judge. It's obvious outcomes are fixed and they are pushing Kara so hard for everyone to like - me no likey. I will not be watching until Simon makes his comments - thank god for TiVo. By this comment I do realize I need a life.
