In a clear sign that anti-reform forces are banking on "centrist" Dems to help block health care reform, the well funded group Americans for Prosperity is pumping starkly-worded calls into Nebraska urging Senator Ben Nelson to filibuster on health care in order to "kill" reform.

It is time for the President to grab all the Dems. by the throat and tell them we are passing healthcare reform with a public option. It is also time for everyone reading this to send emails to all the Democratic Senators and tell them we want healthcare reform with a public option. If they don't get this done, the Dems. will be toast in the next election. The Rethugs will have won by doing absolutely nothing. We cannot let this happen.

It is amazing what the level of hateful racism will do to people. My guess is that most of these anti reformers have not a clue what they are anti about. Just that it is Obama and these people listen to the crazies. I think then, that the locals believe every word of this because they don't go for personal growth or for finding out for themselves. That would be a luvly thought, but unfortunately, the majority of the NB electorate are seriously uninformed on the subject, or otherwise mentally affected by ingrained religious zealotry to really think for themselves, that is as long as their leaders on right wing radio and in the churches say Obama's plan is a bad thing, they will go on believing that. They are more like sheep who tend to believe what they are instructed to believe rather than human beings with a brain and the power or reason. Self exploration and questioning authority are just not on the menu in Nebraska -- and a few other places I could name.
