Karen Ignagni Won't Talk About Her Health Care Coverage

What kind of health care coverage does the nation's top health insurance lobbyist have? Her trade group refuses to say.

Karen Ignagni is the health insurance industry's main defender in Washington. As the president and CEO of America's Health Insurance Plans (AHIP), the industry's lobby, she represents all the big insurance companies: WellPoint, Aetna, UnitedHealth, and CIGNA, among others. As such, she's one of the leading opponents of the so-called public option--a proposed government-run health care plan that would compete with private plans as a way of lowering costs. AHIP recently organized 50,000 insurance company employees to fan out to congressional town hall meetings to fight the public option, which the industry views as a major threat to its bottom line. They recognize that without having to pay enormous executive salaries or hire corporate jets, the government-run plan might be cheap enough to steal away a big chunk of their business.

Hmm... I would say her coverage included EVERYTHING no matter what. Unlimited coverage, no premiums, no limit. She could have a condition that could bankrupt a person with great insurance for an average person and no pay a dime. Michael Moore needs to offer the showing of his movie on every single network for free.

He said this is something his grandfather would want for Americans.....Who is his Grandfather?????? His grandfather was a man into politics....He IS the man voted # 1 in Canada in a recent survey BECAUSE, he is the man who got Medicare for all in Canada !

Detroit lost half its MFG and thus half of its population to Canada as businesses move their to build stuff, so they dont end up with healthcare cost in the products such that they cant compete with the rest of the world , all which have government single payer healthcare and who set the cost of drugs and eliminate the 35% the insurance companies take out of each dollar of heathcare that treats no one..

Its not just the fact the cost will double in ten years... if we dont move to single payer... there will not be jobs left.


Gee, the insurance lobbyist could round up more supporters to bus aorund, if they had not shipped so many of their jobs to India!
