LeAnn Rimes DIVORCING Dean Sheremet After Affair Allegations

LOS ANGELES — LeAnn Rimes and her husband are getting divorced.

The 26-year-old country singer made the announcement on her Web site Tuesday. In a message to her fans, Rimes wrote: "After much thoughtful mutual consideration, Deane and I have agreed to move forward with dissolving our marriage."

Rimes and backup dancer Deane Sheremet were married in February 2002. Tabloid reports have linked Rimes with actor Eddie Cibrian, her co-star in the TV movie "Northern Lights." Cibrian filed for divorce from his wife of eight years, Brandi, last week.

Didn't she stop talking to her daddy for a while after his affair? Now she's in the same boat he was in.

Shame, shame, shame on these celebs who have these tawdry affairs on set while married. They destroy innocent spouses and children forever. Life is just not worth that much lust. That's all it is. No amount of charitable work and being nice will ever make up for it either. SMDH...

I can't believe every entertainer has an unhappy home life when getting involved in these situations. Their lustful desires blind their thought process.

LeAnn Rimes has not had the great life people suppose. Her father and mother made a fortune off of "managing" her. She worked steadily from the time she was 11 or 12. She married to escape her father, but I never knew that hubby was probably gay. Maybe they always assumed that she would divorce him when she grew up and fell in love. Hubby will be taken care of, and he and LeAnn will probably remain friends.

My only problem with this whole deal is Eddie. He should have had the decency to separate from his wife as soon as he knew he was developing feelings for LeAnn. If he decided to take action at the beginning, he would have had to examine his feelings. Did he really want to sacrifice his marriage and his children for another woman? By cowardly just letting things happen, he has hurt his ex-wife and children more than necessary and brought shame upon himself. You can fall in love a second time. But adults would have faced up to their involvement and immediately sought separations from their former spouses.

People keep saying he's gay and maybe he is. Maybe he suppressed that life style for her. I haven't seen a gay man do that but who knows. If you want something bad enough you can work on it like an addict. They were together for 7 yrs and I don't believe they slept in separate beds.

This is a young woman who found fame and fortune at much too young an age, who was driven by an obsessed father, who lacked the judgment to handle the pressure and became an out of control teenager, and who got married when she was much too young. This was a disaster waiting to happen, and it did. No surprise here.

Her husband is fine. He will get a ton of her money and it has been an open secret that their marriage was more of a friendship and arrangement all along.

Cibrian wife is the one who seems devastated. She tried to stand by him when this all started and even believed him when he said nothing was going on. They have two small children that this loser is abandoning because he in LeAnn are in lust.

Stupid headline makes you think SHE's kicking HIM to the curb for accusing her of cheating. Turns out they've officially decided to divorce, which sounds more normal (though isn't it usually the jilted spouse who does the kicking?). Shows how much I even care - I didn't even know Rimes was married.
