I feel sorry for Josh and Anna. The whole experience of their first child's birth is overshadowed by Michelle and Jim Bob. I mean, honestly, who has time to make more babies when they already have 18? I'll tell you who. People whose kids take care of their other kids. What a racket! I am so sure she actually shops at thrift stores. Maybe Anna but not Michelle!

The Duggers have beat the odds. They have 18 healthy children. Why tempt fate? At some point they are going to have a child who is less than normal, and who care for that child? The older ones? I agree that they should consider themselves extremely fortunate to have 18 healthy and normal kids and call it quits after 19. Being a grandparent is very special, and they're going to miss out on that experience if they don't stop acting like teenagers.

I fear for Michelle Duggar's life. She is constantly (due to being pregnant) at risk of developing blood clots, which can kill her & also, her bones are being leached of calcium with every pregnancy, which will lead to osteoporosis at a young age. While I refuse to knock people for their religious beliefs, I find no problem with knocking them for having more kids that they may be able to afford financially, they are not ablke to afford it in the sense of not providing a steady emotional support system for their brood. I suspect that if Michelle passes away from maternal complications or whatever, good ol' JimBob will find a new spouse, lickety split, & start "breeding" as many as she can make. Why don't their good Christian doctors tell them how high the risks are at this time & what will likely happen if she keeps getting pregnant until menopause sets in? It will not be a good thing for Michelle & she's gambling on leaving her numerous offspring motherless & chancing their being even more neglected & ignored to raise each other if JimBob finds himself a new, young, "purty" wife to replace her. If & when step-mommy starts squeezing some babies out, they'll have to raise them too. Please, if you are a follower in the "quiverfull" movement, consider what dangers the mommies face when carrying & birthing after 40. Is it really worth killing her to make another child?

IT IS WRONG TO USE THE GUISE OF RELIGION IN ORDER TO KEEP PRODUCING CHILDREN, ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU ARE RECEIVING MONEY FOR PUTTING THEM ON DISPLAY. This new grandbaby that will be born into this family, will not get her time to shine...because before you know it her "Aunty/Uncle" will be born! She's 42 and has spent 13 and a half years being pregnant. That's nearly a third of her life. What I think is kind of amusing is her shock at being pregnant...again.

Skimming the article rom People.com, my eyes caught one sentence that, whitout context, I found funny. Here's that out of context quote that explains her current condition.

"I told Jim Bob and he couldn't keep it in, he was so excited," she says.

It is utterly disgusting! They should be casterated or tied up if they dont know how to have sex. Shes like a cat, eventually it will catch up to her body and possibly harm her, if not worse. They don't have any problems finding the time to get pregnant since the older kids are the parents to the younger ones. as soon as she finishes nursing Jordyn, she will hand her over to the older kids for them to raise. TLC NEEDS TO STOP DOING THIS KIND OF REALITY SHOW, THIS IS NOTHING BUT EXPLOITATION OF THESE CHILDREN and its all done in the name of the ALMIGHTY DOLLAR.

Not impressed. I don't see the fascination that would garner a television show. She keeps spitting out kids and the older kids take on more responsibilities to help raise the younger ones. I am not impressed that certain people are rewarded for overpopulation and encouraged to reproduce as if it is something funny. I guess the 21 year old will take up where the mom left off. So we will never hear the end of them.
Nineteen kids...so what. Every year is this gonna be big news? Why?

Big families are not bad. Children in larger families learn to share and to get along with siblings at every hour of the day because their "needs" and "wants" must always be balanced against the needs and wants of their siblings. It's kinda like a mini version of society. Especially in a big family, children can't afford to be always worried about "me." They learn that they have to be constantly aware of other people's feelings too, not just when at school or with friends, but when they wake up, are having breakfast, want to watch TV, or do anything else around the house. In a sense, the children grow up in a unique environment that encourages them to be less selfish about their own needs in even small social interactions within the family. This is just one advantage of a big family.

Are these c-section births? If so, isn't there a limit before your uterus literally bursts from one too many?

I think it's backward and cruel for this woman to abuse her body like this. I know nothing about these people except that they are very, very strange. A large family can be a beautiful thing but this is seriously wrong.
