Spitzer Eyeing Return To Politics?

Spitzer will never be trusted by the voters in NY again.

At least not the ones who are based in reality. Because of his past indiscretions he would never, ever be allowed to operate without a leash. And that leash would be held by someone who doesn't have the New York Voters interests at heart.

He is damaged goods. Let him reap the benefits of obscurity now.

Spitzer was an excellent Attorney General for New York and really kept the Wall Streeters in check. They were non-to-happy when he became Governor and were yelping for joy all over cable when he resigned. I think he should run again and I think he'd win because people are not thrilled with Gov. Patterson. He's o.k., and not the worst, but Spitzer is better and he'd put the fear of God back into Wall Street where it belongs. Also I don’t like the way Patterson presided over the Caroline Kennedy Senate appointment. It was one of the first things he could have done to help out the first Black President, and basically he turned Obama down out of vanity and childishness. As a Black person, I was frankly embarrassed by his conduct. Either appoint her or don’t but do it quickly and give a good reason, instead of allowing people who want the job to send out their minions to pick her apart (I actually read an article that said she said “uh” to much).

As for Spitzer prostitute issue, well it’s over and he's getting treatment. His wife didn’t leave him and take him for all he‘s worth, which is considerable and I think people are ready to look past that stuff if the candidate is basically a good person and really competent at his job.

I don't see him winning. Do as I say, when breaking up prostitution, not as I do, when using one, isn't a winning strategy. I once liked him, but I don't trust that his arrogance won't get in the way.

Our country needs an experienced person like Spitzer. Helping to clean up our economic mess could be his penance. He was on to the Wall Street crooks from 2002 to 2006. He knew what was going on but nobody would listen to him. Everyone was making money so he was viewed as someone calling wolf.
