While I love the looks that are already starting to leak for the SATC2 movie, I have to admit that I am missing the Carrie Bradshaw of the small screen. The Carrie that paired unmistakable Jimmy Choo's, Manolo's and (in the later episodes) Louboutin's with a vintage dress and a handbag made my some up and coming designer. As much as I will watch the both SATC movies over and over again until my last day on earth and adore the fashions previewed scene after scene, I still missed the Carrie that took more fashion risks rather than cues from more mainstream (although extremely talented) designers.

If she gets the show to buy it's accessories from Bloomingdales, she'll be worry free, and start acting again.

The shoes in photo 1? Oh, how I wished I had those. Gold t-strap with a black captoe? I honestly love those shoes. Not too much heel, strong color combination, serious style. I may hate my feet, but they could rock those pumps like no ones business.

I think #3 is a this is what could have been shot, like if Carrie wasn't so utterly fabulous, this might have been what she would be like or something like that. awful

You'd have to be braindead to not know that look 3 is clearly for a flashback type thing. It's not an actual look they're presenting as in style now.

I don't wish to look that way when I am 40-something. I wish I looked that good now.

The necklace from Solange Azagury-Partridge is amazing.

To all those who would denounce a joyful free-spirited approach to dressing--I'm glad no one listens to you!

I don't think that the overly blond hair does anything for her. It looks horrible and ages her. I like a longer look on older women, because I hate the soccer mom look, but I think a medium brown or dark blond color that just hits her shoulders would be much prettier.

By the way, I did a little experiment with Kate Gosselin and hairstyles..she looks sooo much better with a brunette haircut if she grew it out a little

The purple and white dresses (and shoes) look good on her.

So Miami Vice. Eww.

From other sources I've read, picture #3 is a 'flashback' to the 1980's when Carrie Bradshaw moves to NYC. So it's understandable how she looks. I'm looking forward to the new movie!

Thank goodness! Her hair is horrid, even for the 80's.

If that's the case they're going to need some special effects and good lighting. When SJP started the series her face was a lot fuller.

The white dress is O.K., but she's getting too old for the other styles.

I love the gliterry shoes in #2. But the whole hair thing in #3 is disastrous. It makes her look desperate to appear younger than she is.

Is that horrible stylist from the TV show still involved here? Patricia Fields? Because in my mind, that woman is commiting death penalty offenses against fashion.
