Jon Gosselin: I Took A Lot Of Abuse From Kate (VIDEO)

Kate Gosselin broke her post-divorce filing silence last month on the Today Show, and estranged husband Jon has crafted a response.

"I took a lot of abuse from her. I was put down," he said in an interview set to air Sept. 8 and 9 on Good Morning America. "She'll call me, almost like a lame fish. Like I wasn't going anywhere."

Jon, who has recently been seen chain-smoking at Vegas nightclubs and collecting a paycheck for hosting a pool party, claims Kate's career-related neglect of their brood leaves him with full time daddy duty.

"Well, excuse me, I'm taking care of the kids," he said. "She's on book tours, she's doing all these things. You know she's gone a week ... comes back. Packs up and leaves again...I'm standing there like, 'Oh, okay. Your mom's gone again.'"

They are both idiots. Jon is not wrong to leave his wife. She was a nightmare. But the constant blabbing back and forth is nauseating. Nobody needs to hear from them anymore. Get divorced and move on with your lives! Give those poor kids a chance.

i cannot believe Jon gosselin made my sympathies move away from him to Kate - who treated him like a little boy in the show. Well, he is now acting like a little boy having a tantrum. Grow a pair and take care of your kids. How many times do mothers take care of kids while husbands find convenient things to do away from home? Its your time, so suck it up and take it like a man! Stop whining that your ex-wife needs to work - do book tours so you can put money away for your kids. I'm close to being on team Kate.

He's a fool..it's not about KATE! It's about the kids! The kids! Why do ppl keep forgetting this?! She was verbally abusive, I totally agree. This does not give him the right to run around with girls so publicly and make his own daughters so uncomfortable with a girl in front of them they call the police. I feel like ppl often take Jon or Kate's side when really they are both wrong and it's the kids who are being hurt. Kate only looks good now because at least you don't see her going around with men when they are divorcing like Jon does. She at least cares enough about her children not to do this when they are emotionally vulnerable right now.

By the way, I did a little experiment with Kate Gosselin and hairstyles..she looks sooo much better with a brunette haircut if she grew it out a little

Jon is not smart enough to know if he was in the financial situation he was in prior to the tv gig, he won't have any woman giving him a second glance. There's no doubt in my mind that his new, seemingly middle-school mentality, girlfriend would be gone in a New York minute if he lost all his tv money.

Kate, on the other hand is a stunning woman and could get a man in a heartbeat without the money.

Granted Kate is no saint. But, when you have that kind of responsibility and the person who should step up fails to, it tends to make one nasty. Jon is an immature punk that has wanted to break away from all the reponsibility that was holding him back for some time. The TV show gave him the attention he wanted, just not the way he wanted it. Now he has the attention, women, and parties - total punkville. Too bad he's playing with people other than his children. A real man would have made his choices and stood by them. And besides, noone can talk nasty to you, wha wha, unless you let them.
