The Denver Post:

The fight over plans for natural-gas drilling on the Roan Plateau has erupted anew after Bill Barrett Corp. told investors that there are up to 3,200 potential drilling sites on the mesa.

Environmental groups suing to block the leases in federal district court filed an amended complaint in August arguing that that level of drilling was 15 times greater than the federal plans anticipated.
