Karzai: U.S. Is Attacking Me Over Election Because It Wants Me To Be More "Docile"

Karzai

PARIS — Afghan President Hamid Karzai says in an interview published in France that the United States is attacking him because it wants to him to be more "docile."

Karzai's re-election bid has faced controversy over alleged fraud. Le Figaro newspaper quotes him as saying that fraud is "inevitable in a budding democracy."

He says Americans who are "attacking Karzai secretly" are wrong to do so – and it's in no one's interest for the Afghan president to be a U.S. puppet.

He says he believes he has won the August election. The official outcome is not expected for weeks.

Karzai said in the interview from Kabul published Monday that he has sought in writing, but failed to obtain, U.S. proof of allegations that his younger brother Ahmed Wali Karzai is a drug trafficker.

Karzai leaves the phone booth and adjusts his cape. He scowls at the audience spins and exits stage left.

Oh pulleeez! The US wants Karzai to be LESS CORRUPT! Just because the guy looks great in a green cape with stripes, doesn't mean he is the Green Hornet! What exactly has be done except be Mayor of Kabul - and he isn't so good at that!

Time for a change in Afghanistan. And it is NOT this administration's fault that the Bush/Cheney dabacle in Iraq meant taking our best fighting and intelligence men OUT of Afghanistan to put them in Iraq, leaving Afghanistan to fall back into the middle ages. Any country that thinks it is ok to throw acid onto the faces of little girls probably deserves the Taliban -- but the little girls don't. It is just like taking on stepchildren that have been abused and neglected. No matter when you take them on, you have to work your way backwards from now to when the neglect began. Whether it is 5 years or 15, the Afghan people deserve a chance to leave the poppy fields and go back to growing the best melons on the silk road. They are farmers - let's help them grow something besides poppies.

Mr. Mayor, I speak for no one but myself as an American taxpayer.

You know, the guy who is paying your salary.

Here is what I want you to do.

1. Return all the billions you and your gang, including your corrupt brother, stole from me;

2. Take a tour through the nation you claim to represent without an armed escort;

and,

3. If you survive #2, surrender yourself to the Hague and confess your conspiracy with the Bush crime syndicate to commit war crimes.

That is simple enough, it seems.

A crook's best friend is a crook. A law abiding person would have nothing to do with a crook. Mr. Karzai should keep his distance from Ahmadinejad and think more of saving his country from more bloodshed.

Karzai's brother is one, if not the largest of the drug Lords in the country. Corruption permeates all of Afgan society. Is it any wonder the people of Afganistan turn to the Taliban for a measure of justice?
This past election was fraught with fraud and THIS is what we send our sons and daughters to defend?, to die for? It is obscene. The sooner we leave the better!

What Karzi does not understand is how sick and tired I am of him and his inabiliity to govern his own country.

He also does not understand that on Sept. 11, 2001, I was standing on my porch, overlooking the boats in the harbor, the sun was coming up, the day was looking to be good, nine months into a new job, married a few years, wife's job was going well, standing there on the porch, and the wife pounded on the patio glass so hard I thought it was going to break, stepped into watch the second plane hit, and all begin to go to sh@T.

What Karzi does not, really does not understand, is how sick and tired of certain people, however small the minority, doing what they did, doing what they do, planning to do more, and then listening to him moan that the US is doing this and that. He needs to understand how fortunate he is that the US came over there and helped him build something that may not please all but may, I say may, reduce the event of eight years ago.

So, Mr. Karzi, I am so very sorry things have not gone so well for you but if you want to complain about the US, you need to direct your concerns to yourself and your own people.

A hard talk indeed from a person pick up from the street and place in this position, now to raise his finger with threatening voice at the very source which seated him to power. After all, why not when Israel can give a shut call to USA,then why not Afghan chief do the same. Israel who survives on magnanimity of USA Grants to the tune of billions and trillions of USA tax free dollars can place a tight slap on USA government that too with the active support of the USA Congressional representatives then why make so much hue and cry when KARZAI has raised his voice at USA.

It is time USA government to realize its mistakes and size down both these people to learn to behave and listen to solve problems and not to create them and boast.

Karzai has made a position with the Taliban by ousting GENERAL MUSHARAF WHO WAS HIS TUMBLING STONE. Now this war will continue till he is there as the head of Afghan government .

If docile equals honest, brave, committed to the well being of all the Afghan people. Determined to route out corruption in all quarters. Then sure I shall agree with joke of a leader who has squardered his moment in the sun to help his brutalized nation.

The sooner he is on the lecture circuit the better. His replacement (whomever it may be) can only be an improvement.

On the UNICAL scale of 1-10, I'd say he's pumping about a million barrels a day from the Caspian to Karachi.

Hamid Karzai must be a fool! I don't think he ever learn from history...as if he were living altogether on this planet! Talking bad about his "MAKER", the United States of American, which made him what he is now, - a "PRESIDENT" isn't a very smart thing to do! My advice to him, if he would care for one is, ..." Never throw stones if you live in a glass house! "

it will definitely be good for your health, mr karzai. you could ask the likes of several people how docile leaders have a much longer lifespan but there aren't many around to ask.
