'Gay' Reporter Strips For George Clooney (VIDEO)

VENICE, Italy -- A fan of actor George Clooney stripped to his boxer shorts in front of the Hollywood star and asked if he could "kiss him, just once."

"I am gay, George," the unidentified man said during a news conference at the Venice Film Festival Tuesday. "Take me, choose me George, please. May I kiss you, just once?"

Clooney was unflappable in responding with a smile, "It's hard when you take a big chance and it doesn't really work."

Clooney was attending the Venice Film Festival to present his new movie "The Men Who Stare at Goats," directed by Grant Heslov. The film was screened Tuesday out of competition.

The actor arrived in Venice with Italian actress Elisabetta Canalis.

Clooney is a fantastic actor and I think his fans are happy, as long as he is happy.

He wasn't kind-spirited to the journo.

He coulda made light of it, jumped up and sang, "Mi amore, Bradabetta di Venezia!" really dramatically and then said, "I'm gonna bust Brad's Harley for this!" and turned it into a "I'm in on the in-joke" crack.

Instead, he got awkward and clumsy and went on the attack about the guy's assets.
