nytimes.com:

Last Tuesday afternoon, a black Cadillac Escalade arrived at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York in Lower Manhattan, built in the 1920s to resemble the Renaissance-era palaces of Florence, Italy. From a rear seat stepped a man in a cashmere sweater and dark slacks.

"This is where the money is," he said, borrowing the words of Willie Sutton, the Depression-era bank robber. "There is more gold here than anywhere in the world."

Look out, Wall Street: Oliver Stone is back.

When you run out of fresh creative ideas, you do a sequel. Unfortunately, Oliver Stone is in a rut.

Thank you for what I hope is a terrific birthday present next April! While Gordon Gecko did go to prison, I'll be interested in how he resurrects himself in this one. I'm hoping the film does present the fact that the real perpetrators of the Wall Street fall and subsequent bailout are still there and not all the mega-mansions in the Hamptons went up for sale as a consequence of their greed. The little guys e.g. brokers, messengers, etc, as always, were the ones who suffered and more than a few of them are now working at Target! The money is still being made hand-over-fist on Wall Street. Sometimes, nothing really changes!

If it's anywhere near "Wall Street", the first, it will be a blockbuster. I look forward to seeing it!

All he has to do to make a masterpiece is get Quentin Tarantino to write a mutant version of Scarface for the lead.

The original Wall Street was one of the all-time greats. It also realistically represented corporate America for once. I'm really looking forward to seeing the sequel. Rev. Bookburn - Radio Volta

Ironic how a film made in the 1980s to portray the greed and sociopathic behavior of the Wall Street wheelers and dealers as a lesson in morality had instead inspired those who followed to not only dio the same, but to do it bigger. How did greed go from being one of the seven deadly sins to present day USA where it is applauded as a virtue? Today's economic crisis would not have existed were it not for the unbridled greed of those running Wall Street.

After the very soft-soaped film W, I hope Oliver Stone reverts to form and makes a good film.

I'm confused -- was the vehicle or the building built in the 1920s to ...
