'Sex And The City' Sequel To Revisit The 80s? (PHOTOS, POLL)

Will the 'Sex and the City' sequel include an 80s flashback or is this getup just Carrie's way of dealing with her rumored marital problems with Big?

Sarah Jessica Parker looked like she was channeling an earlier incarnation of Madonna on set in New York Wednesday, in black lace tights and sleeves, a corset and tutu. Kristin Davis appeared as the perennially preppy Charlotte York, save the outdated white tennis shoes and bangs. Let's hope they use some soft-focus lenses to make the time travel complete.

I've seen these photos and ones of Kim Catrall popping up all over the net and I just cringe. It's not the styles. It's that the actresses are 25 to 30 years too old to carry off a flash-back-to-the-80s-wardrobe-of-20somethings look. They just look jaw-droppingly ridiculous.

They could revisit plot, character and storyline.
Or, for the very first time while in NYC, they could simply visit a homeless shelter.
Or a home for abused women.
Or a soup kitchen.
And while in any one of those places they could attempt to justify a month's clothing budget to a homeless family.

SATC is so overrated and yesterday.. geez, i wish people would move on.. it's just a tv show a la nyc w/ single ladies living this fantastical imaginary life that isn't real...

I could not DISAGREE more...It remains one of my favorite shows of all time; it was a real rite of passage for single ladies everywhere; we could always relate to one of the storylines and it was incredibly real -- not fake or silly. Loved it! Still do!

Only problem with that is SJP was a nerdy looking brunette in the 80's, a la Footloose. Put her in a pair of jeans and cowboy boots, and wash out the peroxide and she'll actually look like she did in the 80's. Oh, and deflate her chest a bit......she was anything but "stylish" in the 80's.
