You're totally worried about the wrong thing. If I lost my child, I wouldn't give a rat's a%5 what I was wearing.

some really awful comments here that should be deleted.
Unfortunately i DO know what they're going thru, and lets b clear one thing:

you're only religious (jewish, moslem, scientologist) some of the time - not, for example, when you're eating, shitting, trying to fall asleep, hugging someone etc.
you're only gay or straight some of the time - usually when you're having sex.

you're a bereaved parent ALL of the time and for the rest of your life. it never goes away - the best you can do is somehow rebuild your life anew in some manner that enables you to continue functioning "normally" in spite of a gnawing emptiness in your being.

so for all those of you who have seen fit to do anything but send condolences (and i say this in the most profound tone possible): get a life! stop reading newspapers and blogs and stuff, coz they're only making you crazy and somewhat inhuman. concentrate on light television matter - sitcoms (i'm afraid soaps are too much - one of you may start stalking the stars). you obviously have difficulty in separating the real world from the "reported" one and it's not doing you any good. (have i run out of space yet?)

This news is about an appearance to promote the movie the Travolta family is appearing in. It's not a death announcement, warranting sympathy cards only, unless the movie is really really bad. Then it'll just be funny, like BATTLEFIELD EARTH.

So condolences only, about what?

If you are so against reading what is "reported," why are you even here? We live in a country where freedom of speech is allowed -- we aren't under Scientology rules here -- so people should be able to post anything they want within reason.

I can't watch John's video yet. It would take me 3 weeks to explain why. I would need eight hours of trained auditing to get clear on why.
Time for a song:

You might feel better, if you watch it. They look as well as anyone could in their circumstances. Sad, but moving forward as much as possible. That's all you can assume by watching.

It's a good thing to see someone - YES, even a celebrity - seem like he is doing okay after loosing a child. That is an important thing. Who cares that he belongs Scientology and what business is of yours to anyway?

These people act like decent caring individuals, which is a good thing.

Here's what business it is of mine. I see Scientology, not as just a harmless personal choice, but as a movement which have abusive policies that threaten the fabric of civil, stable society, in their practices of preying on vulnerable people -- yes even stars can be vulnerable -- brainwashing them with beliefs that they will rule the planet, that Scientology will become the law. This is what Hubbard believed, wrote in policy, and made his followers believe. I see this as dangerous.

Celebrities are in a unique position in society, to influence the choices of vulnerable people, particularly the young. You say they are "caring" individuals. It is exactly what they "care" about so deeply that has me concerned. If good people stand by and do nothing, in the face of a totalitarian menace like Scientology, well then it is bad for society. If you read the entire history of Scientology, as I have, you would see it as something dangerous, not something that is improving people's lives as they claim.

What do you people do that post such tasteful crap about people? Read every rag that comes along?
Ah, yes. And what do you really know about what he really believes in anyway? Most likely - not much.

Wow. Maybe yall consume too much of that sugar laddened coffee from starbuck's. It never seems to amaze me how people can be so shamelessly petty about anything.

Empathy for a scientologist? Irony?

They are brain washed scientologis*s that would deprive others of their rights. Sad about their son but.....

Jett was autistic and there was never much said about this. I think he missed an opportunity to do some good for the cause of autism. Is it because of the Scientology beliefs and some attitude toward disability? I'm just curious; I don't know much about that "religion."

How very obnoxious of you to suggest what anyone should do in response to the tragic loss of their child!!!

So, their response has been what, let's all make a movie together, and forget about the death of Jett? I think that's okay, but certainly it would be better to try to learn from their experience, and do something about autism awareness. Kelly even canceled her grief interview, and opportunity to tell America what she learned by coping with this tragedy.

What are they thinking? Let's make people forget that Jett was autistic, yet we chose to treat him with a "cure" developed by a sci fi writer? So, the show must go on.

I'd like to see both John and Kelly get out of the cult. Everyone makes mistakes. Being in a cult with a sci fi writer leader that spouts off about medicine, wants to obliterate a respected branch of medicine like psychiatry, and pretends to know the galactic history of the last 4 quadrillion years is just nuts. And now the leader of Scientology is a high school dropout, who tries to push Hubbard's STUDY TECH on the educational system.

Seachild-Your posting touched a spot in my heart that's been dormant for a long time. My Mom had 3 miscarriages, plus one preemie death at 3 hours old. It was a horrible feeling when I was 4 1/2, & it feels the same at 52. After all that heartache, my parents ended up being blessed with 3 great kids (IMHO). I truly hope your Higher Power blesses you with children someday as well. My heart goes out to John, Kelly & Ella Bleu...But Scientology gives me the creeps...

It can be a trying time. My sister had miscarraiges, and then she was diagnosed with endometriosis and then she could handle it. She had her second child three years later after the doctor told her she couldn't get pregnant. Then they said one doctor before the diagnosis said it was her husband, but it ended up being both. Although it's rare for a man not to conceive with a woman. Never give up hope.

The fear of loosing a child should not hold you back from having one. You just take care of it the best way you can, give it the best in life and leave the rest to God. There are some things that are beyond our control and longevity is one of them. Do not loose hope, keep trying and good luck. It is never too late.

There is no greater pain than that of loosing one's child. I hope that they will continue to find strength in the memories they have of they son.

Who knows what else is true. What is clear is that Travolta and his wife are profoundly grieving.
