Aimee Louise Sword Raped Son She Gave Up For Adoption: Police (VIDEO)

Police have accused Aimee Louise Sword of searching out the son she gave up for adoption a decade ago and raping him. She has been arraigned on three charges of criminal sexual misconduct. It's unclear whether the boy, a minor, knew she was his biological mother. Sword insists she is innocent.

The case has shocked authorities, and mental health experts say this is the worst-case scenario for the boy. Dr. Gerald Shiener, chief of Consultation and Liaison Psychiatry at Sinai Grace Hospital in Detroit, told MyFox Detroit that he had never heard of a case like this:

Our first reaction to hearing about something like this is that this is every man's nightmare. It's an abomination. This could be his first sexual experience, and his first sexual experience could be something so conflicted, so unusual, so prohibited that it will stay with him for life.

Sights with false facts. FOX news the worst . Gave son up at birth, an open adoption, she picked the parents. Exchanged photos and letters with family, all of his life. Has known the area where hes lived always. Met in 2008, with ok of parents, and social worker. Was getting into trouble, in juvenile home, and threatened adoptive parents. He made the first contact. and was allowed to visit over a summer. Met his siblings and other family members. Adoptive mother asked her to keep him permanently. Was advised by many not to get involved, but loved him no less then her other children. Threats were made ,now all this. Name and photo being published everywhere. people convicting her. Her other children love her very much, hearing and seeing all the things being said about their mother, is killing them. The media has not only destroyed her life, but those of her children. If they had one bit of evidence do you think they would drop any charges? In the climate we live in, when it comes to crimes against children, would we allow our courts to drop charges and plea? Do you think maybe this boy is angry at the fact she gave him up, but has other children, that he's angry his adoptive parents have gone through an awful divorce? The media needs to back off, let things proceed. Hope people will celebrate her innocence with the same vigor, they have condemned.

Something about the way this story is presented just pisses me off with this Doctor raving about this being "every man's nightmare" and "an abomination" without even once mentioning all the woman out there in the world who have to live everyday of their adult lives with the emotional scars of incest being forced on them when they were children by their fathers.

It may be an oddity than a woman would do this, but I'm sorry, I don't feel anymore sympathy for the boy involved than I do for any woman or girl who has had to endure this kind of nightmare.

If you denigrate the seriousness of the crime in this instance, then you should denigrate the crime when the gender roles are reversed. But I don't; rape is rape. It is a crime of subjugation and power. If you are concerned about sexual violence against women... as we all should be... then for the life of me I don't see why you would be any less concerned about this story. Violent atrocity, in all its forms and genders, should be condemned equally.

No one is denigrating the seriousness of this alleged crime. However, while this "event" was occuring , at least 1-10 young women were being assaulted by the fathers, grandfathers, "uncles", or priests. Are we reading about their "perps"?

What is tragic about this story is not that it happened; the same thing happens every day to girls all over the country. What is tragic is that it makes news because the victim is male.

@Exit: It is absolutely possible to rape a man. Just because a person does not want sexual contact and does not consent does not mean that their body does not react. Human beings are physically wired to respond in certain ways to sexual stimuli. That is NOT the same thing as consent.

Some years ago, when I was in the Air Force, there was an airman that complained that he was raped by several girls off base. I don't know what ever became of that, but I do know that he was the laughing stock of the base.

Anyway, I'm telling this to show that it is possible to rape a guy. It's true that a guy responds a certain way, no matter what, and that it is not, just as you say, the same as consent.

he was troubled - behavior problems, violence, psych diagnosis were all mentioned in this other stuff I read.

the mother met with the boy with the permission of the adoptive parents.

he told this story for revenge and had threatend the bio mom.

I have no idea of the truthfulness of the above statements, but they are being circulated elsewhere. It certainly is credible.

Question - what kind of physical evidence is there when a male & female have vaginal intercourse & the male reports a rape? Isn't it possible that these charges are being brought solely on the boy's word? Maybe that's why her bail was so low? I'm not sure...if anyone has answers, please post.

If the boy is a minor, it is considered statutory rape in most states. It has nothing to do with overpowering him somehow. No force is necessary to convict.

There's forcible rape, and there is seductive rape of a juvenile. I don't think we are talking forcible rape here. I think the latter kind is called statutory rape.

As far as forcible rape, this IS possible to happen with a male, in several ways. It is a myth that men can't become erect when being taken against their will. There is a biological component that is separate from mental stimulus. This sometimes happens with women as well, and many struggle with guilt thinking that their biological reaction (i.e. secretion) was a form of consent.

As Ms Sword will insist upon saying, "Vice is nice. Incest is best.". Prisoners in a prison's general population are, by law, entitled to humane treatment. Lodging Ms Sword among the prison's general population constitutes cruel & unusual treatment of her fellow prisoners. It is an illegal form of group punishment. However, the other prisoners could, as you say, "They'll take care of her...".
