Kanye West Storms Stage, Protests Taylor Swift's Victory Over Beyonce At MTV Awards (VIDEO)

UPDATE 2:
Kanye apologized on his blog to Taylor. "I'm in the wrong for going on stage and taking away from her moment," he wrote in part. "Beyonce's video was the best of this decade... I will apologize to Taylor."

UPDATE:
When Beyonce won Video of the Year, she called Taylor out to the stage to give her interrupted speech instead (scroll all the way down to watch that touching moment, and watch Beyonce's live performance here).

PREVIOUSLY:
Taylor Swift got a surprise when she accepted the award for Best Female Video at Sunday night's MTV Video Music Awards.

After Swift, looking shocked, beat out Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Kelly Clarkson, Pink and Beyonce for the honor, she took the stage and accepted the award. As she was thanking MTV, Kanye West ran up on stage, took her microphone, and said Beyonce had been robbed for her "Single Ladies" video.

"Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time!"

Swift, 19, stood silently holding her trophy, cameras cut to Beyonce looking stunned in the crowd, and MTV then cut to break.

Taylor Swift is a sweet, Christian girl and she did not deserve what happened to her. Beyonce did the Christian thing by letting taylor have her moment. I understand Kanye lost his mother recently, but that is no excuse to behave like he did. Evidentall­y that boy was not discipline­d well enough. i am sure his mother is very disappoint­ed in him

the real question for me is how the heck can beyonce lose in the best female video category to taylor swift, but go on to win the video of the year (meaning beyonce's video isn't better than swift's video, but its the best of all the music videos on mtv)? seems like disingenuo­us and almost ridiculous accounting and vote-tabul­ating by mtv. and on a related note, please, mtv doesn't even play music videos anymore. the whole station should be sued for false advertisin­g.

Now lets be real w/ ourselves momentaril­y. Society loves few things in life, but majority of it stems from discourse or confrontat­ion. That little stunt pulled more than likely was staged, more than likely was nothing more than to get people talking about Kanye, cause once again lets be honest all attention may not be good attention but bad attention keeps your attention. Every commercial above being played before they show you that stunt is for Jay-Z's album. His girlfriend Beyonce. His old record label belongs to who, oh ya Kanye. And this man was an icon forever over some little rap agenda between him and Nas. Let's get it together folks, he's basically following in the ways of HIS APOSTLE. He's Jay-Z's desciple. This man's folly is pride, and if it wasn't working for him then he wouldn't have had an invite to the VMA's but because we want to know what his next move is we'll continue to log onto yahoo news and get the 411. Pray for your boy, pray for all of them, and as you continue to meditate upon this point pray for me cause I ain't in any better of a position as this man when I speak about these things I might as well have grabbed the mic. outta his hands.

Face it, this isn't the first time Kanye West did something stupid and it probably won't be the last. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see he has some issues. He is a drunk with a pathologic­al need for attention.­..even if it's bad attention.
Beyonce, bless her heart, is a TRUE class act. I felt sorry for her as well, she look mortified when Kanye said what he did. Ah well, the two women handled it very well, all things considered­, and both looked like the sweet ladies that they are.

Prett soon, Kanye won't be invited to anything. He'll just have to sit home with his bald girlfriend and pout---wat­ching stuff on tv like the rest of.

What Kanye did at the awards was the most low class and disrespect­able thing I have ever
seen coming from a "role model". Everyone has an opinion but how about showing some decency
to a fellow musician? What Beyonce did was truly a class act. I hope that stardom never changes
the beautiful person that she appears to be. Her respect for Taylor truly makes her what a role model
should be. Maybe we should all take a message from her actions.

What I have read it was Beyonce's dad that made it possible for Taylor Swift to come out and Thank the fans. When the cameras were on Beyonce, it looks like to me she was smiling and just a little shock.
