Obama On Letterman, Sunday Shows In Media Blitz

NEW YORK — President Barack Obama is visiting David Letterman on Monday, part of a media blitz to sell his health care plan.

CBS says it would make the first visit ever by a sitting president to Letterman's "Late Show." Obama has appeared on Letterman's show five times before, the last during the campaign in September 2008.

The president is scheduled to visit Sunday morning talk shows this weekend on ABC, CBS, NBC and CNN. That's a highly unusual schedule, even for a president eager to get his message across throughout the media.

Obama will be the sole guest on Monday's "Late Show."

for all the right wing pundits i have one reason why the Prez is bypassing Fox Unedutainment. For all that say they are "Christians". The answer is Psalms 1:1. You shouldn't even have to look in the Good book for it. I mean it's the first one, if you are a "Christian"

This is like saying to a repeatedly battered wife; its probably your fault your husband beats you, give him another chance. Another chance to do what? Batter her some more? I think the Obama administration should get a restraining order against Fox, not allowing them within a 100 yards of the white house, their lying abusive statements against the president is nothing less than inciting violence and a threat against our elected leader.

There is some logic to the suggestion that he should do an interview on Fox. But with whom? O'Reilly, who would start yelling the minute he opens his mouth? Beck-who thinks he's a racist, and might cry through the interview because he fears for his country? Hannity, who would make that prune face and use that condescending tone? And would they even air it? Many questions, so few answers.

Since the day he took office, Obama has been reaching out to the Republicans and Fox and has been rebuked repeatedly. Fox chose to air their idiotic dancing show instead of the President's health care address. That network has uttered lies and smears and does nothing to rein in their wingnuttiest host (Beck).
