Prince Harry Turns 25, Photos Of The Prince Through The Years

Prince Harry turned 25 on Tuesday, making him entitled to part of his inheritance from his mother, Princess Diana.

The AP reports that Prince Harry and his brother Prince William were left equal shares of their mother's estate when she died in a car crash in 1997. The value of the estate has not been disclosed, but it was valued at nearly 13 million pounds 12 years ago, the AP reports. The princes, who are entitled to the income from their share of the estate when they turn 25, gain access to the capital when they hit 30.

I find it amazing that in the pictures of the boys at their mother's and great grandmother's funerals, no one is touching these children. Just a touch of comfort. What a way to raise children. No wonder the royals are so messed up.

Right on cue, whenever a story about the British Royal Family is posted here, Americans will come along and show just how ignorant they really are.

Yes, we Americans may be ignorant and may have our tax dollars thrown away on corporate oligarchies. But we're not so foolish to spend it on a bloated, symbolic monarchy for pure entertainment and distraction purposes. You can't reasonably expect foreigners to have the interest or care to keep up with the cute little intricacies of Britain's antiquated and useless royal system.

We're more interested when the British govt (who actually runs the place as opposed to the royals) cuts deals for oil and facilitates the release of terrorists.

We are paying over-bloated would-be royalists like Joe Wilson who tried to buy a lordship title only to get burned in a scam. How American of him. That incident explains his wealthy Republican sense of entitlement and contentment with throwing crumbs to the lowly villagers who do his sign carrying dirty work for free. I read a Civil War diary wherein the writer, a Union soldier, was told by a woman in Mississippi that part of their reason for succession was to establish an aristocracy. That's their dirty little secret.
