Taylor Swift On The View

UPDATE: Kanye called Swift after "The View," the AP reports:

Representatives from "The View" say West called Swift after her appearance on Tuesday's show. During the broadcast, the 19-year-old singing sensation said West had yet to contact her to apologize for hijacking her MTV Video Music Awards acceptance speech on Sunday.

The incident caused an uproar and led West to give an emotional apology on Monday's premiere of "The Jay Leno Show."

"The View" says Swift has accepted the apology.

PREVIOUSLY: Taylor Swift was on 'The View' Tuesday morning to discuss her onstage clash with Kanye West at the VMAs that has everyone from Kelly Clarkson to President Obama talking.

"I think my overall thought process was something like, 'Wow I can't believe I won. This is awesome. Don't trip and fall. I'm going to get to thank the fans, this is so cool--oh, Kanye West is here," she said. "Kanye West is here, cool haircut, what are you doing there? And then ouch, and then I guess I'm not going to get to thank the fans."

Then Kanye got into an altercation with Taylor's mom, who "tore into him" backstage.

Kanye told Jay Leno last night that he wanted to apologize to Taylor in person and she said would meet with him, but "he has not personally reached out or anything."

Though Kanye's outburst left her "rattled," Swift said the outpouring of support from fans has helped. "I never imagined that there were that many people looking out for me," she said. "It was really wonderful to see there were people out there defending me so I didn't have to."

Kanye and Taylor Swift have the same agent. So begs to ask how someone was able to bum rush the stage without security putting him in a headlock.

We've all been lied to about this and this was a choreographed stunt Taylor Swift was very aware was going to happen. They probably did this so the audience wouldn't boo a country star getting an award and Kanye agreed to it.

What he did was made worse by doing it to a seemingly lovely, young lady who handled herself s well as anyone could, given the situation. If he did this to an adult, no one would have cared. Next time he should pick on someone who could flatten him out.

Man! He needs to stop blaming his Mom's death on his behavior. Be a man and own up to your short comings! Bottom line: you were caught out there and booed! No one supported this stupidity. JERK! Just fade away for 2 years and then write a book about it all.

"and we are not saved..."

Her PR people need a raise, clearly they are milking this for everything they can get out of it. Silly Americans and their publicity.

Why is this news? I mean we can all agree that what he did was pretty awful, but can we move on? Are we there yet?

This West character is arrogant and deceitful. America should boycott any of his future endeavors. True humility is not in his vocabulary.

go away, you didn't buy anything Kayne ever made to begin with, so he didn't lose you as a customer, if you feel so strongly about the situation do what the other good people did and BUY Taylor Swifts album.

Kayne's fans are still going to buy his music because they like it, nothing you can say or do is going to change that.

I'm not a Kayne fan but I can see how this incident has helped Taylor and Beyonce and hasn't cost Kayne anything in terms of his fans.

So just let it go

Why should I go away? How do you know what I own, or do not own. This was an act of complete stupidity, unwarranted and as public as you can get. I would expect he has already lost a number of fans for his ridiculous and unwarranted behavior. I will not let it go.

First, learn to spell his name. Secondly, everyon'es entitle to their opinion, and rudeness, especially in that venue was repugnant, as is K-a-n-y-e.

If we get to boycotting because of things people said, there would not be much left to buy. When the president can be interuppted rudely and treated the way he has, I don't have much hope for anyone caring much for forming a boycott for a rapper.

This West character has lost his way. He made so much money he felt enabled to walk on a stage uninvited to attempt to take away an award which was legitimately won by another artist. You are willing to accept that sort of hubris? There would be plenty left to buy, one rap singer does not make up the pantheon of music available today.....

If West has interrupted Mary J Blige or Lil Kim, would we be having this conversation? I venture to say we wouldn't because you wouldn't have cared.

If a frog had wings he wouldn't bump his ass a-hoppin.

You can venture to say that, but it doesn't make it true.

I can't imagine West doing this to anyone without getting mauled for it.

You suggesting it wasn't bad, or what?

....no, and you'd be wrong..where do you get off thinking that?

I don't care who he did it to, it was plain old drunken, asinine, self-indulgent BS.

Bad behaviour is bad behaviour and it doesn't matter AT ALL what colour the person was that he did it to, or what colour HE was.

Bad manners isn't a racial issue, don't turn this into one - because frankly, it's silly.

"Bad manners isn't a racial issue......"

Bad manners is certainly evident in all races, BUT, blowing this into a WORLD-WIDE media lashing seems to be about Race.

What I think is "silly" are people who don't want to consider the racial angle (that would be you).

There are NUMEROUS "bad manners" incidents that have occurred at the VMAs. So, why does THIS "bad manners" incident rate so high on the Conniption Fit meter with the public and media?

Why there was even "bad manners" by rap artist Lil' Mama at THIS years VMAs against Alicia Keys and Jay-Z. Where was the resultant crucification (and calling for bans and boycotts, etc) in that case? No, let me guess either 1. Lil' Mama is a nobody, thus, rates no mention/crucification or 2. What Lil Mama did to Jay-Z and Alicia Keys "PALED" in comparison to what was done to T. Swift. Yeah, whatever....

As a result of no shortage of double-standards and hypocrisy SOME of us are lead to look at the racial element. You on the other hand, are free to look the other way; because we all know the SILLINESS at not confronting the ugliness of race is what this country is VERY good at!

Wow...takes some brass to turn Kanye into a victim of racism over all of this. That's the biggest leap of logic I have seen in quite a while...and that's saying something.

Just a punk

Had to take on the smallest girl out there

god forbid if he tried to take the mic from some of the older, bigger girls or for that matter one of the boys.

Imagine if white male performer had forcibly grabbed the mic from a black female ... there would be cries of ra cism. Yet in this case everyone assumes race had nothing to do with it -- well maybe that is true. But you all know if the colors had been reversed, the media would have said ra cism caused it.

No, but they blame all their ills on whites and use being "victims" to keep their culture from moving ahead. The reality does not equal the truth.

Seems Halle Berry (black female) has slipped your mind. Remember how Adrian Brody (white performer) forced himself uponher when she accepted an Academy Award? In the aftermath, the yuck factor was high, the racism factor low if any.

The truth is that, Kanye West means Joe Wilson in Caucasian and Joe Wilson means Kanye West in African or black-hood. So both of them are JACKA$$ according to commander in chief's definition. They are same only color differentiate them just like red apple and green apple are all apples or red grape and green grape are all grapes.
Conclusion Kanye West and Joe Wilson are all people with good manners.

Sorry to interrupt you Taylor:
I just saw a video of Mariah Carey.
She has one of the best voices, but...
They process the h~!! out of it.
Just because you have the technology to do something
doesn't mean you should do it.
So here's what I wonna know:
Where the h~!! is Janis when you need her?
