Democrats are split over Rep. Henry Waxman's (D-Calif.) plan to hold high-profile hearings to pressure the insurance industry.

Some are convinced that additional attacks will help drum up the public support necessary to carry reform across the finish line.

1. Why have rates gone up so high, year, after year, when evidence shows that insurance companies have been DROPPING people left and right.

It's about time someone held their feet to the fire in public. Let them explain why the cost of health care has increased more than 100% in less than 10 years.

If you are willing to let a person die or bankrupt a family by finding miniscule and obsure ways to deny insurance claims in order to secure your bonus so that you can buy the 3rd house or $2 million birthday party for your trophy wife or the zippies...t sports car then you are never going to be able to shovel enough money into the empty hole in your soul.

Insurance companies (of all stripes) have a fiduciary duty to act in good faith with their customers from whom they are receiving premiums. For the past 25 years or so, instead of paying legitimate claims when needed these companies try everything th...ey can to wear the claimant down and get out of paying. That is not business, that is fraud.

Grill them Henry. Ask them to explain why they won't pay their policyholders claims. Ask them why they let people die.

They have already made there deal with President Obama, this a waste of time and money and is only intended to fan the emotional flames. In reallity Congress needs to stop all legislation and investigate ACORN, as the scope of there corruption goes to the highest levels of Congress. Eric Holder needs to investigate ACORN from the bottom up, if necessary all the way to the top and let the cards fall where they may. Unfortunately Congress has become useless, they are a bunch of theives, inside traders, traiters, liars, drunks, and tax cheats, three of them have actually served prison time, how many of them today could actually say," I pledge my life, my fortune, and my sacred honor ". None? One? Two? I can not think of one domestic problem that isn't directly traceable to Congress. Please remember this in 2010, it doesn't matter what party you vote for, just get rid of the sess pool that exist in Congress today.

I've said it before (got scrubbed), and I'll say it again. Henry Waxman is one of our finest Reps. He's responsive to his constituents but is also honest and incorruptible. We should all have such a Rep.
