I Like ItI Don’t Like It

As HuffPost's Jason Linkins reported earlier today, Fox News took out a full-page ad in Friday's Washington Post (and a half-page ad in the Wall Street Journal) to boast about its coverage of the Tea Party protests last weekend in D.C. and to goad its rivals by asking "How Did ABC, CBS, NBC, MSNBC, and CNN Miss This Story?"

A number of these networks didn't take the Fox News ad lying down, and fired back, saying the ad was "just false" since they did indeed cover the protests. CNN's Rick Sanchez gave an even more colorful response (watch here) in which he said, "Let me address the Fox News Network now perhaps the most current way that I can, by quoting somebody who recently used a very pithy phrase, two words. It's all I need: You lie," the AP reports.

Now, Media Matters reports, Sanchez's network aired an ad this evening that strikes back at Fox News' claim. The ad's slogan: "Fox News: Distorting, Not Reporting."

Now if all the other 'real' networks would go the extra mile and do 1) investigative reporting 2) check facts 3) not just us AP reports as their primary source 4) etc

I dont know why they made a big stink about one protest march. My friend lives in DC and she says there is a protest march going on everyday some where in the city. However we don't see half of them because there are so many with various reasons. So who honestly cares about this march? Only Fox does.

All CNN would have to do is run an ad featuring the Fox Producer/Cheerleader and say something like ,
" We cover the news while Fox distorts the news."

To report the truth FOX would have to expend resources that they do not have. Receptive, integrative, expressive, and pragmatic language processes, as well as deductive logic and inductive reasoning are critical for examining and sharing the truth. In the spirit of observing the obvious, their pool of these resources has been pretty dry for many years.

They do not understand the number of sentient beings that hold truth as a core value and that they disrespect all of those that hold value as an essential value when they twist the truth beyond logic or reality. They do not understand that when they do this for their profit and at the expense of others, they continue to erode what little is left of their credibility and further become the essence of hypocrisy.

Besides having to use resources that they do not have to embrace the truth, they would also have to expend energy towards something that has little if any value to them. It is far easier for them to prevaricate (to lie or mislead others).

They have turned the blending of prevarication and concupiscence (lust) into an art form that closely resembles voodoo. Their voodoo fuels a variety of endeavors that are conducive to the creation and exacerbation of hatred and the blocking of rational debate.

Their goal is to employ their brand of voodoo for the purposes of obscurantism (interference with the process of learning) for profit.

In our world ignorance is not bliss, it’s propagated and malignant.

Fox News no longer has a free pass. It's about time the rest of us call them on their lies.

A lot of Countown is dedicated to showing where Fox and other "news" channels fabricate their information.

If the Fox watchers were really interested in "fair and balanced," they should put their money where their mouth is and actually fact check what they see.

If they really wanted to attack Fox, they would have told their audience they staged the rally in the first place. The rest of the media needs to start calling these people out when they pull stunts like this.

Actually, Rick Sanchez did just that. He very publicly chastised them for belligerently disregarding the difference between reporting and promoting.

The Networks need to hit harder and more often against Fox News. Fox News lies and pretend to be the only network out there doing good journalistic reporting when all they are really doing is pushing their Authoritarian Agenda. Fox News is the Bully on the playground and it's time to bloody his nose. I speak figuratively.

It's fun when the bully is picking on someone else and there's a gentlemen's agreement between the media, Faux News may have made a mistake pooping in the Media sandbox. When they do it to MSNBC no-one cares, now they've done it to CNN and that might the kind of attention they don't want from the rest of the big boys.

We can always hope
