Unidentified Creature: Panama Teens Discover Alien-Like Animal (VIDEO)

Four teenagers in Panama claim they encountered a creature that was photographed, dead on a rock.

It appears to have an animal-like head, but a strange body with skinny, human like arms. Some say it's an alien while others say it's an animal that's never been seen before.

The teens said, the creature was alive when they found it and it started coming after them, so they threw rocks and sticks at it, killing it.

Zoologists in Panama said they're not sure what it is, but it appears to be a dead fetus of some kind.

UPDATE: Darren Naish of ScienceBlogs.com says the creature is "very obviously" a sloth, though he has a difficult time explaining its hairless torso and head.

Please. An alien can make it's way all to Earth and is easily killed by sticks and stones?

This is a sloth. It makes me SICK that this animal was beaten to death by ignorant teenagers because it looked different and "came after them". Sloths are gentle, peaceful and loving creatures so I doubt it meant to cause any harm to them or ran after them in the first place. Poor little guy. It must be some sort of genetic mutation to cause it to be hairless, just like the Sphinx is a hairless breed of cats.

I don't believe it came after them. The little bastards probably killed it because it couldn't get away. They then said it came toward them so they killed it.

The animal could be deformed or different looking because of pollutants. Latin America is being polluted by oil companies and mine operations that use mercury.

Anyway, it's a sloth. The carcass of a sloth with its hair removed, and bloated from being in water. They're not showing the entire carcass, cuz if they did, it would be obvious what it is.
