Nicolas Sarkozy, Cecilia Attias Hold Private Meeting In New York

French President Nicolas Sarkozy visited this afternoon with his ex-wife Cecilia for what is believed to be the first time since their 2007 divorce, a source tells Huffington Post.

The meeting included Sarkozy's new wife, Carla Bruni, and Cecilia's husband, Richard Attias, the global events producer. The two couples met at Attias' townhouse on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, where a stretch of East 71st Street was closed for traffic.

Sarkozy is in New York for the United Nations summit on climate change.

Sarkozy is a right winger. Yeah, we need more of them and I don't care what his third and current wife looks like. How does that reflect well on him? Carla once said she could never stay true to one man. Now married to the president of France that statement puts her between a rock and a hard place. Well, for now, she's on top of her game.

it doesn't put her between a rock and a hard place at all. france is not like the us. the president could divorce in the middle of the term and suffer no fall in popularity. sarko, of course, is already extremely unpopular because he failed at reform.
