Clinton On Letterman: Hillary's "Gotten Real Good At What I Used To Do" (VIDEO)

Former President Bill Clinton had nothing but adulation for his wife when he appeared on the "Late Show With David Letterman" Tuesday night.

Letterman said that if his wife were secretary of state, he would be jealous. Clinton responded that he was just proud.

"Frankly, I think this is a good division of labor. For most of our married life, I was in politics, and she was a non-governmental person, like what I'm doing now," Clinton said. "I've gotten pretty good at what she used to do, and she's gotten real good at what I used to do. So I think we got the right secretary of state."

At the end of the interview, Letterman concluded, "I so enjoy your visits here. I wish I was, geez, I don't know, smarter."

"You keep saying that," Clinton responded. "But you know ... you haven't been term-limited, and you're a lot richer than I am. Why are you griping?"
