Matthew McConaughey Cannot Stand Up By Himself (PICTURES)

Huffington Post     First Posted: 11/23/09   Updated: 5/25/11

Aaron Kraus of the blog "MY BRAIN IS MADE OF THINGS MADE OF GOLD" caught this hilarious trend of Matthew McConaughey's serious lack of balance in movie posters. He found the first three posters and we added EdTV, Surfer Dude, and We Are Marshall for more evidence that he needs people and trees to support him or he will fall down.

This reminds me of the day I woke up after having the strangest dream about this man in a sparsely, yet expensively furnished home...

someone was walking up and down in front of his couch talking to him...
he seemed to have a broken neck
as he sat there
his head kept flopping side to side...

there was a death announcement for him in Wikepedia (you look up the names and find the photo)
for a few minutes...

but then it disappeared.

I can't remember his name now.

And he played a really creepy older guy still hitting on teenage girls even though he graduated years ago. He looked creepy, too.

I've seen him in Dazed and Confused. That's the only movie I've seen with him in it.

I've seen one. Because of Kate Hudson. Do I lose a limb?

The male version of Jennifer Aniston. These actors just keep getting richer by doing the same movie every 3 months with different cast members. Somebody likes their movies.

Good observation. They should make a film together and then a sequel and then maybe a TV series until the world becomes saturated with their brand of superficial cuteness and moves on to better things.

His movies can't stand up on their own either. This guy is a talentless Jackhole....typical vapid celebrity.

okay, fine, he can't stand up straight. But whose had better stoner scenes? Him, "Dazed and Confused". Brad Pitt, "True Romance". Or, Sean Penn, "Fast Times at Ridgemont High".

My vote is Brad Pitt because, as I recall, he showed a lot of bravery by smoking out of a honey bottle shaped like a bear- which is a godless killing machine.

Funny stuff! I haven't seen any of these movies except EdTV. The one movie of Matthew McConaughey's that I will always remember was one of his earlier ones, the first I saw him in and in which he caught my eye: Amistad, as the young lawyer mentored by JQ Adams while defending a slave. Excellent movie and excellent performance by all.
