Jenks is an elite closer and would likely bring top talent if the White Sox decide to trade him.
I'm not so sure. He'd be pretty expensive next year, he's coming off a bad year (although he's been great before this year), and there are several free agent closer options. I hope the Sox keep him...our bullpen has been awful in the second half, Dotel's contract is over, I don't want to see Randy Williams or Tony Pena ever again, and if Thornton takes over as closer, we have to find another lefty set-up guy. The Sox will have an amazing rotation (Peavy/Buehrle/Danks/Floyd/Freddy Garcia or Daniel Hudson) and what on paper looks like a decent offense...I hope Kenny Williams does something to improve the bullpen this offseason...if he does, I think the 2010 team deserves Obama's Presidential Fan Stamp of Approval.
