Instead it's his world famous voice you would recognize. He does the intro for the show along with countless commercials, promos and movie trailers.

Wouldn't it be fun to walk around in ordinary life and be able to pull out the Law and Order, portentous voice. For instance...? When the grocery clerk is rude. When the bank teller is rude. When the taxi driver is rude. When the waiter is rude. Ha.

What a contrast: A hyper, flighty host with a nails-on-blackboard voice who is nonetheless in love with the nonstop verbal diarrhea he spews...and a calm, steady, reassuring voice from a man who seems utterly secure in himself.

That host has the most annoying way of speaking. High pitched, hyper and nasally. Ughh.
Its what an "American accent" sounds like when a brit or an aussie decide to take a piss out of our accents to make it sound extra annoying.

(You can do something about that. Not that you would have this guy's voice, but your own can be cultivated without too much trouble. Get one of those singing voice lesson C.D.s to practice in the car. Discover your own voice's range and how to use it everyday.)
