Despite an initial helicopter mix up and having to fight traffic to get there, Mayor Bloomberg ultimately made to the U2 concert at Giants Stadium last night.
And it's a good thing he did, as midway through the show Bono took a moment to recognize the mayor, commending him on his use of his "enormous wallet" for charitable purposes.
Bono told the packed stadium, "[Bloomberg] makes me very proud, he also makes me laugh out loud," and then asked the crowd to "give it up" for the mayor.
