Bachmann Refuses To Answer Question About Dead Census Worker

Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) refused to answer a question this weekend on the death of a census worker in Kentucky.

Bill Sparkman was found earlier this month hanged from a tree near a Kentucky cemetery had the word "fed" scrawled on his chest. The FBI has been investigating whether the killing was related to his job as a Census worker.

Bachmann, who has proclaimed that she will not fill out her Census forms and suggested that the survey could lead to internment camps, did not bring up the issue at the conservative How to Take Back America Conference in St. Louis.

David Weigel asked her about it but could not get an answer:

I caught up to her as she headed outside and asked if she had any response to the murder of a Kentucky census worker, having noticed that the Census, a constant target for Bachmann, did not figure into her speech. Bachmann recoiled a little at the question and turned to enter her limo.

"Thank you so much!" she said.

When the FBI has the murderers identified and under arrest (and they may have already--there were witness who saw the census worker in a truck with two people), part of their testimony would be WHY they did this, WHERE they got the idea, and WHO may have influenced this horrible crime.

If they testify they were influenced by Michele Bachmann and/or whom ever, they bear some culpability and censure for lying about census and census takers and inciting violence against the US (federal employees).

The congresswoman's statement, like clues in any good crossword puzzle, except on "easy" day, is subject to several interpretations:

Was she trying to convey the following:

1. Thank you for doing this, to the perpretrator? After all her poisonous screaming, someone went out and did exactly what she wanted by knocking off a federal official? I'd bet, were she to be threatened, she'd be the first to be screaming for protection. Ms Bachmann is a liar and a bully because she's fundamentally a coward with a big mouth.

2. Thank you for asking me about this, because it's free publicity?

3. Get the heck away from me, because there's a thing called incitement, which in English common law, from which our principles derive, is: In the act of persuading, encouraging, instigating, pressuring, or threatening so as to cause another to commit a crime.

I believe, should this turn out to be a hate crime against a federal official, she could be indicted as an accessory to murder.

As my father used to say, "if you throw a rock into a pack of dogs the one that yelps is the one you hit." Bachman must be feeling some what guilty over this or she would have defended her actions and her words. Yes, I know, it is hard to imagine someone of her ilk feeling guity but sometimes their humanity rises up to smack them in the face when others can't or won't. On the other hand, maybe her political handlers and enablers have told her to make no response because it would hurt her at election time. Either way, I hope this haunts her all her life. Maybe she will do what Teddy Kennedy did and spend the rest of her life in a continuous act of contrition. But then again, I am an idealist!

Don't expect a "person" like Bachman, who has no notion of ethics, morals, or humanity of any kind, to lose one wink of sleep over anything she does or says. I have dealt with people like this my whole life, and they have absolutely no conscience whatsoever.

Although I will admit the census is getting a bit too invasive. The purpose was to count the people so congressional districts could be defined, among other things. How often we masturbate is really none of the government's business, among other things.

I know you are being facetious but if you really think that the Census is too invasive then why not share with us what it is that makes you think so. I worked once taking the cencus and I found nothing on the questionaire that I felt violated my privacy and I really work at protecting my privacy.

As for masturbation, I think it is a good idea to know that. Maybe this overly puritanical segment of our victorian society would finally find out that everyone does it. It doesn't cause you to go blind nor does it cause hair to grow on your palm. it is by no means a sin and yes, it is a physically and emotionally healthy thing to do. There are no serial sex killers amongst the animals that do!
