SNL "F-Bomb": Jenny Slate Swears During Debut (VIDEO)

Jenny Slate marked her debut on Saturday Night Live last night by dropping the "f-bomb."

Slate was performing as a raunchy biker chick alongside Kristen Wiig on the show's 35th season premiere when she said:

"You frickin' just threw an ashtray full of butts at my head. You know what, you stood up for yourself and I fucking love you for that."

Slate's expletive was clearly not intentional, and her cheeks puffed up immediately after she said it-- realizing a second too late what she really said.

Before joining SNL, Slate was best-known as half of the duo "Gabe and Jenny."

Slate's fellow SNL newcomer Nasim Pedrad also debuted on SNL last night. She did not utter any expletives. Megan Fox hosted and U2 performed.

I'd be worried if they didn't.

When will comedians/­hollywood, etc. realize that you don't have to use the "f" word or any other vulgarity to be "funny" or to get your point across. Think back to Lucy and Desi...Carol Burnett...need I say more? Bill Maher uses the "F" work every other sentence....no wonder he's never won an Emmy....too many "f's" to be funny.

I'll say whatever words I want and I'll defend anyone else's right to use whatever words they want; and if you CHOOSE to become offended, that's not my problem, it's yours. Yes, that's right folks, you get to choose what offends you and what does not - and you don't have to follow anyone else's rules, OK?

The only thing I find offensive on television these days is the amount of graphic violence portayed. I think that has a greater negative impact on society than any of Carlin's "seven words." Who cares? Say whatever the f#&k you please, but please don't continue to desensitize me to violence.

Overall, the show has not been funny in years. A few bright spots in humor in the past few years, but not many.

I don't think it has ever been "main-stream" funny... it has always been off-beat and like all forms of entertainment - some enjoy it and others don't...

I'm sure there is someone out there who thinks the ceiling of the sistine chapel is a little busy...

Yes, I hate the war, climate change, financial crisis, and other problems going on in the world today.

But I do remember when a person could actually complete a full sentence without using the F-word.

Sure, call me old-fashioned, but I'm not a fan of the F-word. I don't want my child using it, therefore, I think I should be an example of what I want in my child. And yes, I turn the channel when I don't like the content of the show.

Most of the posts here are in favor of its usage. I know my post won't be popular, but I just happen to be one who has an opposite take on that word.

Withholding the use of certain words, simply so they continue to be shocking is one of silliest things we do as an allegedly intelligent species. These words only have as much power as we assign to them.
