Turnout was incredibly light in both races, meaning that a relatively small number of the city's 3 million registered Democrats played an important role in choosing two members of the party's next class of power players.

Whether or not those statements are true ericnyc, the fact remains that Liu was far more qualified for the position than Yaasky. The voters did the right thing yesterday.

Of course he was more qualified than Yassky, especially when that Wall Street sell out CHucky Schummer endorsing Yaassky in political ads.

John Liu is the guy who alleged that he was raised working in sweatshops on the lower east side. Until his parents refuted such allegations by saying that he was raised in a middle class family that owned a clothing business. A business he was no part of as a child.
