I guess that the British judiciary is not as independent as they would have us believe.

Even though Ehud Barak slipped out of this encounter with a war crimes trial and a possible life sentence if convicted. The very attempt to hold him accountable was invaluable. For the first time Israeli officials have to consider the very real possibility of facing justice and getting punished for committing the crimes they currently commit with impunity. Inf the future ex-high ranking Israeli officials may feel safe to leave Israel in the future knowing that they face the real possibility of life in prison.

A life sentence for the JUDGE you mean. A third country arresting a person with diplomatic immunity is an act of war. Israel would have a right to invade and free him.

Ehud Barak has been pro-peace forever. He was the MOST pro-peace and pro land for peace prime minister Israel ever had. he offered Palestinians 96% of all the land ever considered occupied, and Clinton himself blames Arafat for a not taking the deal. painting him as a war criminal is laughable

He's an Israeli. That's all the evidence the HuffPosters need to brand him a "war criminal" forever.

Self defense is not a war crime.

Having gone through the article there is no room for any doubt that the UK government may also be charged with either avoiding the responsibility to arrest the accused and or of abetting the crime committed by the criminals of genocides to afford them to escape arrest.

And if the arrests were not executed now and in previous cases, then the court had to be intimated the cause of non execution of the warrants with prayer to extend the period for execution, but there is no evidence that shows the legal process was carried out. The court concerned authority miserably failed to comply with the court orders to persue as was required of them.

The lawyers must move the court to issue show cause notice on the government to show cause within 7 days as to why the diplomatic immunity afforded to EHUD BARAK while he was in UK, an accused of genocide will not be declared illegal and will not be deemed to have been given with ulterior motive to provide protection to a genocide criminal knowing him to such.

Israel is not committing genocide against anyone.

If Gaza's leadership can manage to stop sending rockets to Israel and release Gilad Shalit, Israel would lift the blockade.

Well, My Friend, since the report of Judge Goldstone was submitted, it proved that in the opinion of the eminent political analyst of the world the inquiry was most honestly and very comprehensively done.

Now Ehud Barak may be any high ranking personality of any state of the world, has no concern with the comment made herein, because the comment had been made on the reported fact that he had been accused of having committed crime against humanity that tantamount to genocide, now point raised about Hamas is also mentioned in Goldstone's report, but has no link on the particular issue based on which the comment was made therefore your kind comment in reply to the comment made is not tenable and valid.

However, having ventilated your personal opinion it will help clarify Israel's position to the world body more vividly regarding to the limit that was required by Israel's standard to recognize the massacer as genocide and EHUD BARAK to have been accused a genocide criminal.Thanks.

"continuation of the process of demonisation and the de-legitimisation of Israel," It's just that they make it so easy.

Good for them. it's about time someone said something about how absurd the middle east situation is w/o always taking Israel's side.
