What's Your Reaction?
Jon Stewart

America is under attack, people. Not from Iran, not from suitcase bombers or North Korea, but from Barack Obama and those that like him. Jon Stewart explored these organizations and people last night and after a brief intro about ACORN, he quickly came to the conclusion that the National Endowment for the Arts and school children are at the heart of the problem.

The White House is accused of gathering rappers, dancers, and poets who received NEA funding and encouraging them to address the social issues the president is fighting to change in their art. While this might not have been the best idea in a witch-hunt world, I think we can all agree very few Americans look to dance for their political inspiration these days.

The more disturbing issue Stewart addressed, is that every talking head on Fox News seems to think school children singing about President Obama (among many others) is an event equatable to the indoctrination and mass murder perpetrated by Hitler and the Khmer Rouge.

The research team for Jon Stewart should get an A for the day and a trip to Hawaii. They find all the best videos that hoist these right wingers on their own petard.

Don't forget, they also do the same thing for the liberals, even though it's OBVIOUS where their political sensibilities lie...

The Republican Party and their network of minions are the ones who require that children be indoctrinated. Otherwise, they will not have any members in the future. Children who are educated and not filled with hate at an early age will not choose to be affiliated with the Republican Party. They will see them for what they are: dishonest brokers in the effort to better the lives of the majority of Americans.

You can say what you like about the Khmer Rouge. But when it came to universal healthcare for their citizens, they were right (down) there with the good old US of A.

I wish Jon Stewart protected those poor kids in DC whose voucher program is getting killed by Democrats, due to their fear that it will hurt their teacher union.

Actually, voucher programs in districts that are losing students at massive rates, as in DC, add to the problem. They are not the solution. The solution involves money spent on the PUBLIC SCHOOLS.

Reply    Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 08:15 AM on 09/30/2009

Do you takes us for idiots? More money is spent per kid in DC than 99% of the country.

And yes, the Left is taken for idiots, because largely they are.

Um... You DO realize, don't you, that school vouchers actually HARM students, by taking money out of the public school districts so that they are no longer able to properly educate students whose parents aren't able to afford private schools even with the vouchers???

These attacks show one thing; the GOP has no ideas for this country. They only want the power. If they get it back we are doomed as a nation.

I should specify by saying, the local police covering the school bus beating incident said it wasn't racially motivated. Rush has been trying to make it seem like American kids are racist.

Some American kids ARE_racist_ because that is what they learned from their parents.

The local police department said the beating was not racially motivated. End of story, right?

You may want to actually get a transcript of the broadcasts and see what was said. In no instance did anyone attack the school children. If this were 2007, I wonder how you would have reacted if the name "Bush had been used instead of "Obama." You would have been very upset and called it indoctrination and I would have agreed with you. It's 2009, the name "Obama" was used and yes, it is indoctrination, whether intended as such or not.

Reply    Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 01:54 AM on 09/30/2009

How is it indoctrination when Obama had absolutely no control over this event? Is it that much of a stretch to assume the teacher in charge of this acted on his/her own accord? And during an event that praised all past presidents?? Plez...

Did you even watch the clip? Did you see the last part with the kids singing praise to Bush? In fact, there are many parts of America that taught their kids to worship Bush. As a FNN watcher, it's not surprising that you don't know that.

Yea sure, I would've hated if my child's school had her sing a song about helping to make our country stronger if Bush was mentioned. NOT. Of course it would be hard to believe anyone believed that Bush wanted to make this country strong, but I wouldn't object to my daughter singing about it in school. I just have to wonder if the stink was made because they used his middle name. That just fuels the racists fires. Barrack Obama is bad, but Barrack Hussein Obama just lights a fire under them. Boy I hate racists.

After finding out that Dt Coke through the nose hurts like h-e-double hockey sticks during Stewarts fun with Qum (sorry but even the most mature of us can be reduced to a school girl under the appropriate cirQUMstances, sorry again, couldn't help myself.), I also found out how much I love Stewarts "Hypocr!sy Theater". When he points out the faux mass hyster!a that FoxNews tries to instill in its slack jawed viewers and then shows just how false their outrge is. Its so v!ndicating! Sadly we all know the folks that think ProWrestling is real don't watch the Daily Show and if they do, its probably over their heads. I bet they think Colbert is real too and not satire.

Bravo John, keep'em Quming!

(Sorry again, last one I promise! Lol)

When will the Obama Administration learn that this political organization, fox news, will stoop to any level to bring him down--Rush Limbaugh, “Obama must fail”. Sir, please Mr. President, when can I see some Chicago politics? Are we playing like Peyton Manning or Matthew Stafford? Will see!
