Disney Rewards Volunteers With Free Park Admission

The Walt Disney Co. just unveiled its Give a Day, Get a Disney Day campaign in partnership with Hands On Network to inspire one million people to volunteer a day of service in their communities.

Volunteers (or should we say voluntears) will be celebrated for their efforts with a free one-day admission ticket to a theme park at Disneyland or Walt Disney World.

Kicking off on January 1, 2010, you can go to DisneyParks.com to find volunteer opportunities in your local community and sign up for a day of service. Volunteers must pre-register and sign up through the parks website to redeem their admission ticket.

Hands On Network is an extensive volunteer organization that has 250 volunteer action centers across the country, connecting volunteers to over 70,000 nonprofit agencies. Many of the projects available through Hands On Network are opportunities to get entire families and teams involved.

Disney is also launching a tour across the U.S., Puerto Rico and Canada to celebrate the spirit of giving back, which you can follow here.
