Palin Lectures Not Selling, No One Wants To Book Her: NY Post

Sarah Palin is not selling well on the lecture circuit, an industry insider told the New York Post.

"The big lecture buyers in the US are paralyzed with fear about booking her, basically because they think she is a blithering idiot," the source said. "They don't want to tick people off."

Palin's fee for a recent speech in Hong Kong was rumored to be in the low six figures.

Palin finished her memoir, "Going Rogue," in just four months -- ahead of schedule and in time for the holiday season.

Palin's book will sell very well, people will read it for the same reason they watch Fox News for the surrealism.

And the funny part is, even the people who swarmed Amazon for the pre-orders won't actually read the book. I know this because they don't read -- not even the bible, except for the specific passages that they are told to read. If they read the rest of it, they'd see that only a schizophrenic god would have put out a body of work like that, with so many contradictions in it, and so many places where he says the very OPPOSITE of what they think he said.

So this book will languish unread (thank god!) on the brand-new book shelves they'll have to buy to hold it. Good boost for the furniture industry, though.

Please! We all know she didn't write the book and I am sure she can't read it.

I still wish her luck with the book and hope her book sales will help our economy.

Someone is interested in the former governor.

"Palin's 432-page memoir, still No. 1 on Friday, has been given a first printing of 1.5 million copies and booksellers have begun fighting for sales."

#1 and it doesn't even come out until November. Palin is probably the most polarizing figure in America today. Many denounce her, others are intrigued.

It's all a matter of opinion and everyone is entitled to his own beliefs. Sometimes criticizing indiividuals adds to their popularity. People who truly dislike Palin would be better off NOT giving her free "advertising".

An unnamed industry expert told Page SIX this? To be fair, this is the kind of story that the right wing latches onto when an "unnamed" source tells "The Hooter(s)Ville Inquirer" that Obama was last seen in a topless bar .. performing. This one I don't buy about Mz Palin. I'm sure that there are scores if not dozens of republican tea parties just chomping at the bits to hear the former governor show up if only to hear her say, " (wink) How about that Obama? Still pal'n around with terrorists?" followed by wild applause so tumultuous that all the kegs of tea are overturned, trampled upon and otherwise desecrated in a fit of raucous, uncontrollable right-wing conservative Palinization.

i remember when the right wing think tanks, individual investors, and church groups, would buy up 1000s of (anne coulter's) books, just to hand them out to the party loyalists. drove up the numbers/sales but it really wasnt to individual consumers, as the sales figures usually illustrate.
