JIMMY FALLON

Current Status:
Only late night host who isn't playing to your parents

Changing the Game By: Creating exclusive video content for the Web, encouraging Web-based viewer submissions, tweeting like a maniac, and hiring a blog team that scored an Emmy. When Fallon took over Late Night from Conan some of the cool kids thought he wasn't right for the job -- so he took the nerd route. He promoted gamers online, drooled over tech advancements like they were Megan Fox, and owned every aspect of the Web. Takeaway: who needs cool kids when you've got an army of nerds?

I was tempted to see if I could write in somebody's name in the "Entertainment" category after I watched this "Roseanne" rerun and was surprised to see an individual who is well known here.

But I chickened out.

Arianna looked so...innocent...so unburdened by any knowledge of the tawdry side of unrestrained capitalism in that episode.

lolll...the things you miss, when you're too busy to watch TV for a decade or two. Regardless, she certainly evolved into a game changer from there.

Not to worry; he gets on Keith Olbermann's list all the time.

30 seconds to mars - innovative & fan oriented (included fans on new album by collecting samples of sounds - clapping, singing, stomping, yelling - that will be incorporated into the songs, also 2000 fan photos will be made into covers for the album)

Being famous and using the same web apps that hundreds of millions of us use does not qualify them as a game changer. It might however make them conformists.

You're kidding, right? THE Entertainment Game Changer is Susan Boyle. Not because she's a techie who uses new media for self-promotion, but because she FORCES CHANGE in the new media around her. I know there is a strong anti-Boyle contingent on Huffpost because the radical right has adopted her, but she hasn't adopted them. They're just jumping on her coattails, even the Pope, who wants her to promote his new album.

This list focuses primarily on interests of young Americans, not on Game Changers. Boyle is changing the way people think about monetizing YouTube, viral marketing, and most important for Entertainment, how little appearance has to do with talent. She woke up a vast underserved audience that believes music has something to do with melody as well as rhythm. If her YouTube views & her all-time top spot on Amazon pre-orders are any indication, she'll get that audience to change a lot more in entertainment, and it won't be just in the English-speaking countries.

I don't know why people are so hard on Jimmy Fallon he is funny and it's only his first year. Conan was not that great his first year.

Funny or Die is good....

But not that good.

I've watched a bunch of their stuff...most of it is too long, and is kinda obvious.

On a sketch-comedy scale of 1 to 10, I give them a 5.

I wonder what exactly the Huffington Post has against Neil Young. A) He should be on this list before most of the other celebs who made it on the list for doing nothing at all, and B) I've seen more than a couple comments wondering about this get deleted by moderators.

Oh I see, now they're starting to delete some posts that reveal what a narcissistic celebrity-worship this article has, and how it has nothing at all to do with actual "game changing". How infantile.
