To: Drooling Rightwingers,

from the comments on this blog it is CLEAR that NONE of you Droolers read the 1st paragraph - let alone the article.

Lippert is leaving to go BACK TO active duty as a Navy SEAL ... Thus, Lippert is hardly leaving Obama.

And what would that "some thing" be oh wise one ?

Don't be a tease and try to start a controversy when there isn't one.

Maybe this is like when those executives leave "to spend more time with their families." Hmmm...

Unless his family is in the Navy I don't think he'll be spending much time with them.
Another tr011 trying to make something out of nothing.

He (the advisor) wanted to be like pre-Election Obama
not Current (THE Real Obama) Republican.
so he is not a republican so Obama says he is out.

Maybe he needs a "Negotiator-in-Chief" somewhere in the Tora Bora?

Sheesh! Tom Clancy would make a mint on this twist in a story!

That is, if it weren't real...

Either that, or Mr. Lippert is expressing the ultimate level of trust in his Commander in Chief.

Jordan,

You clearly did NOT read the article ... or the first sentence for that matter.

Lippert is rejoining the Navy ... Since Obama IS Commander over the Navy - Lippert is hardly jumping ship ... Lippert will STILL be working under Obama's command.

I think he is to be commended for his service, and for knowing what makes him feel actualized. I can't blame him for not wanting to stay in Washington. Look at the climate of shrill hysteria that gets reflexively raised by the oppositional Republicans for any move the Administration makes. At least in the war theater the enemies are external.

Lippert is rejoining the Navy - he will continue to serve this nation with honor and he will continue to serve the Commander In Chief (Obama) with honor.

The only thing I find fishy is the Navy SEAL part. Any Chair of the NSC has a security clearance that is so high that he is unlikely to be anywhere CLOSE to a combat zone, let alone behind enemy lines. If he is going to be reassigned as a SEAL then it is most likely going to be one behind a desk.

Mr. Lippert IS a Navy Seal who from 2007 until the summer of 2008, he served about a year in what had been scheduled as a nine-month tour of duty in Iraq as an intelligence officer for the SEALs.

This is a return to duty as a SEAL

Sorry. NO WAY !!! Look at Mr. Lippert. It would be an embarrassment to the US Navy SEALS to have anyone who looked that out of shape. Well, maybe the camera just had an odd focus. But, for personal reasons I cannot imagine anyone, anyone at all with a double chin and such posture as being or have been a SEAL. I know one that has just got to be rolling his eyes at the shape that guy is in ! UGH !!
