Steve Carell Traumatized By Raising Kids In LA (VIDEO)

First Posted: 12/01/09 05:12 AM ET Updated: 05/25/11 03:15 PM ET

Steve Carell has lived in LA for a few years now but he didn't have his first traumatic experience there until recently, when his 8-year-old daughter brought home $36 from her lemonade stand.

"As happens in most lemonade stands, Billy Ray Cyrus comes by walking his dog and drops $20 on a cup of lemonade, free cookie included," he told Jay Leno Wednesday night. "So she keeps the 20. And then the paparazzi who had been following Billy Ray Cyrus come and buy lemonade as well so we're up to about $30. Then the police who were called to chase away the paparazzi circled back and bought lemonade. Now she thinks she can do this for a living."

Leno asked Carell if he ever had a lemonade stand.

"That's what I did before 'The Office,'" Carell joked.

OK everyone else here is talking about Carrell so i want to talk about the little girl....

this is so cute about his little girl..selling lemonade and giving a free cookie...

I was at a girlfriends house years ago and we sat and talked and watched her daughter sell cool aid and brownies her little girl made herself ( with help ) . It is one of my favorite memories of that little girls life..

It's a right of passage for kids to do something like this...

For a transplanted midwesterner nothing says another sunny day in LA quite like celebs, paparazzi and the cops. Funny bit.

It blows me away that ANYBODY could possibly think this guy is funny. He thinks he is, but to me his is a JERK, and absolutely I have NEVER hear him say anything that made me laugh.

Both Carrell and Colbert got their start at The Daily Show and Jon takes great pride in it, as well he should. Not sure if they were on The Daily Show at the same time but my guess is they did overlap.

It seems like NBC promised Conan O'Brien the Tonight Show but then created a show AHEAD of it that garnered all the A-List celebrities. Raw deal.
