Lindsey Graham Takes Another Swipe At Glenn Beck (VIDEO)

Senator Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) took another swipe at Glenn Beck on Sunday, this time during an appearance on the Fox News host's own network.

The South Carolina Republican said he didn't think that the temperamental star -- who has used his 5 P.M. perch at Fox to routinely vilify members of the Obama administration as corrupt, closeted Communists -- was necessarily bad for the country. But Graham didn't mince words or, for that matter, duck the question when he was asked why he said Beck was "aligned with cynicism" at a conference earlier in the week.

"I'm not saying he's bad for America," the senator said on Fox News Sunday. "You have got the freedom to watch him if you choose. He did a pretty good job on ACORN. What I am saying is he doesn't represent the Republican Party."

"You can listen to him if like," Graham added. "I choose not to because quite frankly I don't want to go down the road of thinking our best days are behind us. We need to act decisively. People are generally upset with how much money we are being spending up here. But at the end of the day when a person says he represents conservatism and that the country is better off with Barack Obama than John McCain, that sort of ends the debate for me as to how much more I'm going to listen. So, he has the right to say what he wants to say. In my view it is not the kind of political analysis that I buy into."

Since when was a media personality "supposed" to represent one party or another? I'm no fan of Beck, but this is a pretty crazy criticism. Beck should NOT be "representing" the GOP no more than Fox should be paid shills. I get that the reality is that Fox is the GOP propaganda network and that Beck does much more than sympathize with the GOP. But the wording of the criticism is very telling.

I wish what you said was the case, but what he meant was far from that. The only thing he was unhappy with, out of all the venom and garbage Beck spewed, was only what he said about Mcain and that the country is better off with Obama than would've been with Mcain. He saw that as a view that doesn't represent the republican Party. Graham comes from the same political garbage can Beck comes from, pretty much!

I've had the misfortune of watching Glenn Beck numerous times and I have to say, it's all an act! This cheeseball would tell tales about his own mom if it would help him stay in the spotlight. To the folks who think Beck actually loves this country and would make a sacrifice for it, then you should keep blaming Iraq for 9/11...

Before you jump on the Beck-bashing wagon, maybe you should sit down and actually watch just one of his shows from beginning to end, instead of the typical 30-second sound bite that may or may not be complete. He makes surprising sense most of the time - and, he's entertaining, too.

Good for Graham. It is about time a republican spoke up and admonished people like Beck, Rush, and Hannity. They are so full of hate and use scare tactics to get people on their side with constant criticisms of the President. According to these joksters, Obama cant do anything right and it is just unbelievable the things they say. I dont agree with everything Pres Obama is doing, but I truly believe he cares about lower and middle income citizens and is trying to fix the social issues in our country. I think we need to vote out most of the Congressmen and Senators that have been bought off by big business and insurance companies and start over. He shouldnt be having such a difficult time passing a good health care reform bill, but because of some members in his own party, we will probably end up with a watered down bill that will continue to pay off the insurance companies. I am so disillusioned at this point and I am afraid that me and my family will end up paying more for health care.
