Why the racing Bonnevile picture? My democratic congressman bought a 2003 two ton, 17mpg V6, pearl paint, fake spoiler, Pontiac Bonneville, 18 years after the Gulf War, after 9-11, after Gore's movie, after Bin Ladin's fatwa to blow up oil facilities, after Kyoto, and at his swearing in party here in Syracuse NY, I filmmed two big Hummers, 25 SUV's,18 fuel inefficient minivans, and many 20 mpg luxury sedans all with AC and electric windows and locks. All this when smaller cars existed for 30 years.
( see the 1990 -2001 Geo Metro from GM, it got 45 mpg, yet democrats didn't buy them, ) Do you have pictures of all these oil consuming people in your collection? Why no Geo Metro cars? So dump the Bonneville picture and take some pictures of Rangel ( Cadillac), Kennedy ( 19mpg Mustang ), and others driving their fuel inefficient cars? That takes balls. Juxtiposition this with the oil pictures. That's real.

Joe Vecchio liberal democrat.

I love it. Where are all the pictures of liberal democratic consumers of oil ? That's scary. Cut to pictures of MTV's sweet 16 parties where the kids love the big vehicles and Hummers they get for their birthdays? Their friends think it's cool. Cut to the MTV videos and we see more big vehicles for the stars in Cribs. This helps create/maintain the demand and the demand creates the pictures we see. I love it. Where is the picture of Obama driving his SUV and not a 38mpg AVEO or 4 door Yaris? Rachel Maddow in her red truck, Biden in his two ton 17mpg truck? Why do democrats still buy 17mpg Jeeps. Went to a democratic fundraiser and I didn't see one 40 mpg car. Democrats created this unnecessary demand, 2 to 3 MBD extra, because they refused to purchase smaller cars over the last two decades. Keep up the good work.
Pictures are worth a thousand questions.

Yo Joe. Good point about the mtv parties. MTV is anything but liberal, they are just entertainment, run behind the scenes by Viacom, who's chairman is Jewish(not that there's anything wrong with that). Pretty much like every other entertainment conglomorate - do what makes you money. If they changed their format to have more shows like the sundance channel has(green police, that hippy dude that makes sailboats out of plastic bags, etc..) they could be both educational and appealing to younger audiences. But instead they resort to sensationalism and 'who's got the fanciest stuff' for their entertainment, since that's easy. Nothing like it used to be.
p.s. I drive a 17mpg Jeep but that's cuz I live in ND where we have 6+months of terrible winter...so there's that exception I guess...City slickers in the south though? I agree they are utterly useless.

Edward Burtynsky's works are, at the same time, riveting and appalling, in their content, scale, and aesthetic appeal. I just posted a small piece on them.

The photographer is a modern master of the large format medium.

Scary is right. The pic of the guys standing in the oil is too much.
