Bill Ritter Issues New Order After Staff Fails To File Disclosures

For nearly three years, Gov. Bill Ritter's staff and all but one of his Cabinet appointees have failed to file financial disclosures as required by a 1999 executive order, records show.

Following inquiries from a Colorado think tank, Ritter on Monday issued a replacement executive order reiterating the ethics code for state executives and requiring them to publicly disclose by Oct. 25 any business, personal or legal interests that might conflict with their state duties.
